Puppy love
full of wonder and joy
two souls joined forever
or atleast they blindly
seem to believe
While it lasts
they're inseparable
making plans for a future
that deep down
they know will never come
letting it sweep over them
as it comes crashing down
The flame that burned so bright
now grows dim
and the lights seem to fade
as they slowly part ways
forgeting their plans
ignoring empty promises
Some may move on
while others can't understand
that their Puppy love
was never meant to last,
that their love was all in the past
new love comes fast
too fast for some
but only one thing is certain
the puppy love is gone
