JULY 3RD
China enjoyed having guests. It wasn't often that his younger siblings paid him any mind at all, let alone enough mind to come over and have tea. This didn't mean that they minded mim more, or minded him less, but, for right now, they were in his house, getting along. For the most part. Well. At least most were. As usual, South Korea was making everyone uncomfortable, and North Korea was threatening countries much larger and much more powerful than he. Taiwan and Vietnam, the two girls that looked so much alike, but so very different in personalities, sat politly, drank China's tea, and make polite small talk. Japan didn't even do that, only hung out, sitting on his knees, dark eyes staring at China. Hong Kong was very helpful, assiting China in the preparation of more tea and such.
"Ni-san," Japan said, suddenly. "Did you recieve an invitation to America-san's party?" From his white uniform, he withdrew a perfect looking envelope. China blinked.
"Yes, actually~aru," he said. "I was thinking about going, but, then again, he's usually very rambunctious . . . are you going~aru?"
Japan's eyes didn't change.
"I want to phone the others, to see if they are going," he said. "Germany and Italy are going . . ."
"PFFT!" North Korea scoffed. "Those faggots? Yeah, sounds like a really awesome party, there, KiKi, you have fun, pansy a**!"
Japan didn't reply to him.
"Did anyone else recieve invitations?" He asked. Taiwan and Vietnam nodded.
"I think I might go," Nyrua said, looking to her sister. Vietnam raised her hands, her bell sleeves swaying with the action.
"I-I never get invited to anything. So, y-yes, I think I might," Som said. She smiled, and The Korea brothers looked between them.
"I'm not going!" Hyun Soo Yong said. "Anybody who goes is a total dumbass and a f*****t!"
"I'm going!" Im Yonsoo chimed in. North Korea pointed at his brother.
"See?! Told ya!"
Thailand was very quiet, watching the action, sipping tea.
"You know," Awut said. "I think I just might go. It looks like it's set to be a lot of fun." Hong Kong nodded.
"Troublesome," Jian agreed, "but fun." China put his hands inside his sleeves, in front of him, thinking seriously.
"Well, since it seems all the other allies will be there, I think I might as well make a cameo appearance~aru," he said. Wang nodded a few times. He looked to Japan and smiled. "It would be fun to go someplace together as a family~aru."
Kiku Honda quirked his head to one side.
". . . Oh. Yes."
"WHY THE PAUSE~aru?!"
North Korea, shocked at all the countries around him, jumping into this world unity of sorts, stood and proclaimed, gritting his teeth as he did so.
"I will got to this stupid, faggy party as well!" He said. China narrowed his eyes, tired of his younger brother's theatrics.
"Oh~aru?" He said. "I thought everyone who went to the party was a fa---"
"BESIDES ME!" Hyung corrected. "Besides, I'm only going so I can attack America and punch him in his face!"
Thailand laughed, good naturedly, pushing his glasses up his face.
"Good luck with that," he said. "The baby of the family isn't exactly a weakling you know." His knowing eyes softened. "He's survived a lot . . . I'm glad to have been invited to his birthday! It's a good day to celebrate!"
North Korea flipped Thailand the bird, but the older nation only sipped his tea and stood.
"I will clear the table?" He said, lifting the tea tray. "To give Jian a break." Hong Kong's expression didn't change, but his cheeks colored slightly. "Girls?"
Vietnam and Taiwan stood, walking him to the kitchen. This left Hong Kong with China, Japan, and the Koreas. China turned to Japan, smiling.
"Kiku, you should call some of the others, see if they're going as well~aru." He said, eyes glinting, knowingly. Kiku only tilted his head.
"Like who?"
"Greece~aru."
Japan colored.
"Oh."
Im popped up behind Kiku and grabbed his chest.
"NO MINE!" He wailed, squeezing rhythmically. Japan's composure shattered, he turned and shoved South Korea away.
"I will go call the others!" He said, quickly bowing. He left the room in a flury. North Korea stalked out, muttering about attack patterns. South Korea tried to follow Japan but was shoved away. This left Hong Kong alone with China.
"Are you looking forward to the party~aru?" China asked, trying to keep the conversation alive. Hong Kong only nodded and muttered something about helping Thailand. China sighed, now alone in his tea room.
