“Oh you’ll see me trust me”- I muttered while focusing on the huge shadow behind the person running towards me, I checked tension on the rope as I wrap it on my left arm once the rope is tight I grab the hilt of my katana with my right hand and take my stance. The silhouette of the creature grows bigger with each step it takes and I notice that it’s chasing a young girl, as the girl passes me an turns she turn s around and yells at me. “Do you have a death wish? Get out of the way.”- I smiled and started to pull on the rope. “Don’t need to, watch.”- I said giving the rope one big pull, the creature came closer it slowed down looking confused. The last pull on the rope caused the tree to sway down on its cut trunk, breaking the rest of its support. The creature stop as the tree came down in between us, I leaped on the tree and used the rope to lasso the creature’s head, the creature whimpered in confusion while one of his horns got caught on the rope, as he tried to get away pulling the fallen tree with him the tree got caught between two others snapping the rope taught stopping him in his tracks, as he struggled in vain I called on the girl he was chasing. “See no problem you can come out now.”
“Are you sure it won’t eat me?”- The girl said from behind a tree.
“Nope I won’t let him, what did you do to him to make it chase you?”- I said walking in front of him as he gave up on trying to get free and he laid down.
“I didn’t do anything, I was just walking down near the ravine then he started to chase me.”- Said the girl coming out of her hiding spot and headed towards me.
The creature saw her and started to growl and thrashed around. “Well you defiantly did some thing to him the question is what?”
She hid behind me and said “I swear I didn’t do anything, I was just walking down and I saw this yellow rock rolling down the hill so I stopped it. I really like the color of it so I put it in my pack and headed to town I figured some one there can make me some jewelry with it, next thing I know this thing was chasing me.”- She said sticking her tongue out at the creature. He continued to trash as if he knew she was talking about him.
“Do you still have this rock?”- I asked.
“Yes why?”- She questioned.
“Let me see it, I think I know what’s going on.”- I looked at the creature.
“You do? Well tell me why it was chasing me?”- She asked as she showed me the rock in question, as soon as the creature saw it he began to hiss and growl.
“Just like I thought, this rock is actually his egg.”- I told her as I gently approached the creature with the egg in hand, laying it beside him.
“Wait a second that rock is an egg? But it’s too big to be an egg and aren’t they supposed to be white?”- She looked at me confused. “What is this thing anyways?”
