He sat in his apartment on a brown armcahir, his eyes looked distant like staring into space and his body didnt move. The man's jet black hair went into his eyes, it had slight grey streaks from hard thinking and stress.
Then out of no where he got up to his feet, he could feel it... His mind ached, like a burning sensation; it was spinning wildly and he could something dark seep into his thoughts.
Was it...Madness? Why would it be? What had he done to get such a thing? He knew nothing could make it go as such, but yet he could feel the urge to do something...crazy.
He went to the kitchen and pulled out a plate from the wooden cabinets; it was nicely decorated with black flowers on the edges. He held it hard in his hand then threw it across the room, it zoomed across the air and smashed against the glass sliding door. He smiled slowly and threw another, then more and more until it was empty.
Then out of nowhere the phone rang, he jumped slightly and waited till it stopped ringing. A loud beep sounded threw the silent apartment, then a voice crackled out like it was scratchy or someone was going threw a tunnel.
Robert this is your boss Chris, you haven't been in work for a few days and your co-workers at the office think something is wrong. I think they are just getting over themselves, but if you miss one more day without calling in were gonna have to let you go.
The phone clicked off and then Robert walked up to the phone, his green eyes stuided it. He couldn't remember when the last time he went to his editing job at the firm. He didnt feel like getting up for a while, just sitting there and letting his mind wander asking questions that will be never answered truely.
Then he reached out both hands and pulled at the machine, it unplugged from the wall then threw it at the door of his apartment. Pieces scattered all over the carpet he turned back to the broken dishes all over the floor, he grabbed his lamp and threw it at the sliding door that was now more scratched up then usual.
He went over to the glass and fell to his knees, something dangerous flashed in his eyes as he reached down to it. His hand picked up small chunks of the sharp substance, he studied it for a long time then closed his hand tightly around it.
A smile appeared on his face as he did, the warm blood started to leak inbetween his fingers. It started to come out faster as he squeezed his hand it leaked out, dripping onto the carpet. Then he lifted his arm slightly and slammed the palm of his hand onto the glass door. The glass pushed itself into his hand more, blood smeared all over the glass as he slid it down the door.
Robert stood up slowly and grabbed a table chair, it was about the height of his waist and new looking. He gripped it firmly in his hands and threw it against the door, it broke straight threw and went over the metal railing. He fell on his knees once more and slammed his fist on the ground, his head was burning again.
He could feel it still in his mind, like an infection that spread threw his mind. Its dark roots spreading over his senses and destroying them.
His heart darkening with his mind... Robert could feel it, the chaos in his mind. The madness going threw him... And it felt amazing...Like a door opening to his mind to something wider, something strange...
Something insane.
Robert smiled and went over to the large pieces of door glass all over the small balcony, he picked up a huge chunk then slashed it on his arm. It made him fell cold but warm blood ran down side slash. He squeezed his fist and more of the red fluid ran down his arm. It dripped onto the white carpet making the bloody stain more wider and daker, he suddently stopped moving then dropped to the ground. His body didn't move but blood kept dripping onto the ground.
A dark over shadow became on Robert, his mind became darker and his heart started to beat faster. His eyes looked around frantically as if trying to signal a secret force to help him but nothing came. His heart started to go faster while his arm started to bleed more, his mind was burnning with extreme heat now, like it was burnning with the flames of hell. Soon his heart was going at inhuman speeds, thrn it imploded in his chest.
Robert staggered with his last breath of life, choaking up blood then falling silent in the dark apartment. A certain smell entered the apartment, it mixed with another and let a undescribable feel of despair.
The smell of blood and death...
~.~.~.~.~.~
No sooner then exactly one hour later the door opened slowly, as if by itself. A shadow appeared in it, a woman like figure stood at the doorway. Her dark hair barely touched her chin and cupped her head perfectly. Her dark eyes went around the apartment, a smile on her devilish features. Something twitched on her head, two triangle like things stuck out and a black looking rope swung from behind her.
This woman had the smell of death all over, and she was oviously no human.
She took a graceful step into the apartment, her dark eyes glowing a strange reflection in the dark. She moved over the carpet and to the broken glass door. She stepped into the cresent moon light, a shadow cast apon the body of the now dead Robert and she only smiled.
Her red outfit was quite strange, it only went to her knees and the sleeves hung off her arms as if made to be open. It looked as if made of silk and decorated with black flowers, it was cut right at her chest giving off a attrative but deadly look. Something a person like herself(if you could even call her that) was looking for.
She bent down on her knees and stared at the body, a cat like ear twitching on her head again. With her cat like tail moving behind her gracfully but seeming curious itself. She reached out and out two fingers where the blood still oozed out of Robert's pale mouth. She smiled and brough her fingers to her lips, then she slowly licked the blood off.
"Death by madness huh? Not bad...Their getting better." She said quietly to herself and jumped. Her pocket was vibrating silently but it still made noise, she never got the point of that. She pulled out the disposable phone and flipped it open, not even checking the caller I.D.
"Yo! Wassa up?" She asked in a Italian like accent but had something else, as if much more ancient language.
"Don't talk to me in that way, you know I hate it. How did it go?" A dark voice said on the end. It had a strong british accent and seemed wise but mostly dangerous.
The female smiled slightly, a shiver going down her spine. She loved it when he talked to her like that, all professional and hard. "It went well signore... We are almost half way there, it was only madness this time." She said, saying sir in Italian by instinct from where she was from.
The dark voice chuckled slightly, then spoke again back to it's dark professional tone. "Good...Return back quickly. He hung up the phone and the line went dead, the female sat there for a moment then sighed.
"No good job? Geez.." She huffed and stood up quietly, she moved to the glass window then to the balcony. She jumped ontop of the railing and looked back at Robert's dead body. She smiled and whispered in a quiet voice, almost as dead sounding like a graveyard. "Dance in un inferno per me..." She jumped off the ledge and landed on the street two floors down.
She moved across the street and into the shadows of an alley, they engulfed her like an old friend. The words will echoing in the air of the apartment and shifted out into the cold night air.
Dance in hell for me...
