Roleplay Samples/Other
Samples of my past roleplaying experience, in case people need them, and whatever else I feel prompted to write down: ideas, notes, whatever.
A hot, drt wind tore through the cracked desert plain dotted with skeletal trees and the occasional animal skull. Damien wandered aimlessly through the flat landscape that stretched on forever into nothingness in the far distance. The sky was a deep, eerie purple color and a cold blue sun was setting on the horizon. His throat ached for want of water, but none was in sight anywhere over the repetitive dirt ground. The hot wind whipped his long and normally neatly kept hair over his frightened face and loose sand made tiny scratches on his face as it swept over the ground. He hugged his light jacket tightly against himself to try and fend off the rough blasts of sand, but every open space in his clothing quickly became occupied with sharp shards of sand before he could block it. Damien continued to wander desperately through the wasteland until, some time later, voices suddenly echoed through the area as if the Gods were speaking from the heavens or something. He found himself being lifted away from the scene by an unseen force as the entire area faded slowly into blackness and the sound of Damien's screams became more distant as the desert did.

His eyes snapped open and he sat up, looking around. After a moment, he thanked God that he hadn't screamed in his sleep and that noone had seen the embarrassing display he had just unwillingly performed as he woke up. In reality, he was stuck in the middle of the woods with his classmates and many other people who he had never seen before. He soon found that the booming voice from his nightmare had been that of Kyran, a classmate who had also been sitting around the diminishing fire and who was now just leaving to 'take a piss' if the voice that had woken him from his dream had been correct. Kyran wasn't a person with whom Damien was well-aquainted, but Damien considered Kyran to be the same as all his other classmates: a moron. Damien was somewhat vain and "stuck-up" as many of the girls had said in hushed whispers behind his back when they thought he couldn't hear. However, he didn't mind being alone because according to him, none of them were interesting enough with whom to carry on a conversation. He was still cursing himself inwardly for attending this campout because being out in the wilderness with all the mosquitoes and beer was not something that appealed to Damien. He had only come because it was a final opportunity to perhaps get to know some people in his class before disappearing to some place across the country and never seeing any of them again, but soon after dismissed the idea and reinforced the thought that they were idiots. Now he had to suffer through the campout and had just been dozing by the fire late at night.

Absently, and starting to doze again, Damien wondered where Kyran was and surely he'd be back by now? Right on cue, he heard a roar coming through the woods that could only be the voice of the ever-outgoing Kyran: "WHAT THE ********!?" Kyran said, the echoing voice coming from a fair distance. Damien leaped out of the uncomfortable lawn chair in surprise and found himself running to where the voice had come from. Kyran was a moron, but even morons should be helped when in danger. And from the way he had just yelled, he could only be in danger.

However, when Damien reached the spot, he only found Kyran standing alone with a battered, soaking wet briefcase lying open at his feet with several gold bangles spilling out while he gaped at his unscathed wrist. "What happened?" Damien blurted out while wondering what on earth he was doing with a briefcase full of gold bracelets. They were probably his first words ever spoken to Kyran.
