Its another Saturday night. About eight o’clock I think. But that’s not important right now. Right now I have to get my brother and I ready for the night. For tonight we will make change. And, for once, I wont be afraid. We’ll strike, surprise them, and do some damage. But for now, we wait…
“Sami are you writing again?” I picked up my head and looked around. Then I saw my brother with a face of disgust. He always hates it when I write. “Well?”
“Yeah. But I like to! It makes the time fly by quicker than just standing there.”
He shook his head and walked into the kitchen. I watched him for a while than continued writing. I write to much he says. I read to much he says. Oh well I say. At lest it keeps me calm at night. Plus, it takes me to far away places. Far, far, far away places.
Brenden came back into the room carrying two sandwiches. One for me, one for him. He dropped my sandwich right on my book and sat next to me. I scowled at him but ate anyway.
:What are you writing now?” He asked between bites. He was never a proper man at 15.
“A scary story. But it isn’t much.” I said. He then grabbed my book and read what I had down. Mostly I care less about what he thinks.
He read everything. When he finished he threw it on my lap. “Not bad.”
I stared at him. Never before had he liked my stories, poems, or anything! He didn’t look at me but got up and sat on the sofa and lied down.
Minuets passed and I just stared at my older brother. His hair was still black, but my guess is it wont be much longer. He didn’t have his shirt on but blue jeans. No shoes nor socks. Just dark blue jeans. He reminds me of those people from “Grease”, except he had no shirt, no leather jacket, or shoes.
And me? I’m like nothing. My dirty-blond hair goes down to the middle of my back. I have reddish glasses and still metal braces. My low-cut T-shirt is red and so are my pants. I pretty much describe what a nerd looks like.
With a sigh I laid down too and closed my eyes for a minuet. But I guess it was longer because when I opened my eyes, there was sun light.
I looked around again and saw nothing. I was scared. But that didn’t stop me! Once I got up, everything went black around me. I was in my own part of space, seprate from everything else. There was solid ground under me though.
“Whoa…” I said and my own voice came back to me. Where am I? How did I get here? Is this a dream? So many questions, so little time. Before I could ask more, the lights came on so quickly I fell over.
Brenden came running over and picked me up and asked if I was alright. I couldn’t answer. I grabbed the book I was working on and this was what happened to the main character. Bren grabbed my book from my cold hands and he shook me until I snapped out of it.
“What happened to you? Are you alright?” He kept asking these things while I stood their in shock.
“My book…” I tried to say. I guess Bren heard me and read the page I just read. When he finished he looked at me. “this is what happened? Your own part of space?” He asked.
I nodded for I could barley talk. Maybe it’s just a coincidence that the same person had this experience.
Bren looked back at the book and read more. He then read out loud, “Once the lights came on and Amber fell over, her brother came and helped her up. She could barley talk and her arm hurt like crazy.” He looked at me for a sign. My arm was hurting. He continued, “She rolled up her sleeve to find nothing but bare skin. No scratches, burses, or anything.”
As he read that part I rolled up my sleeve and checked my arm to. Like I wrote, there wasn’t a thing. I was freaking out and Bren could tell. He skimmed the rest of the page for anything else. The next event took place at night. So we were safe…for now…
