~Chapter Six~
♥Secrets Trapped♥
Alice rubbed her eyes awake, sitting up with shock. "Where have you been?!" She asked in a demanding tone before shrinking back. "And why were you watching me sleep..?"
White Rabbit sat next to her, crossing his arms in front of his chest. "God, you ask too many questions. How about a simple, 'Thank you for not leaving me out here to rot', instead?"
Alice stood and shouted, "You were going to leave me here to rot?!"
"I was thinking about it."
"You jerk!"
"Jerk?! I came to tell you of the person who can take you home and you call me a jerk?!"
"Yes! Wait.. What?" Alice looked at the White Rabbit, the stunned look on her face slowly coming back only to disappear as her eyes lit up with excitement. "You know someone who can take me home?!"
The White Rabbie stood and dusted himself off. "Yes. The Queen of Spades."
"Let's go meet this Queen of Spades then! " She shouted excitedly, skipping a few steps ahead of the White Rabbit. "Well?!" She asked, looking back at him. "Come on! I can't do this without you, you know.."
He looked back at her for a moment then smirked. "Oh I know. You'd be dead without me!"
Alice glared. "You don't have to brag about it."
White rabbit sighed. "There's a problem. We can't go see the Queen."
"Why not?" Alice pouted. "Cause she's royalty?" She scowled and rolled her eyes.
"No. Because she's trapped." White Rabbit leaned against a tree and sighed.
Alice looked at him for a moment then glared again. "Trapped?! How is she suppose to help me if she is trapped?!"
It was his turn to roll his eyes. "We free her. Geez. I though you humans were smarter than this."
"Well, in my world, rabbits don't talk."
"That's frightening."
"Really?"
He nodded, staring into the bushes. "Something's there..."

"Now....What were you really off to do for my brother?" the Queen asked sweetly to her captive.
Cheshire, now trapped in a birdcage, hissed at the Queen. "Treated so low, trapped like this, how insulting! And now? Expecting an answer? Hmph! As if!"
The Queen of Hearts slammed her fists on the arm rest of her chair and stood up. She marched over to the cage and shook it. "You will answer me." She growled. Her eyes moved over to the Mad Hatter. "Or shall we have him play with you again?" the Queen grinned at Cheshire darkly.
Cheshire whimpered, scooting to the back of her cage. Her arms clutched her still aching sides from the last encounter. Her hair fell to cover what could be seen of her face. She tugged slightly at the newly placed collar around her neck.
"It won't come off. So stop annoying me by trying." the Queen said with a toss of her hair and a roll of her eyes. "Now. What were you really doing for my brother?"
Cheshire paused, strangly silent as the Queen waied impatiently. She bursted into random giggling before cocking her head back and to the side, staring the Queen straight in the eyes, her own bright red. He claws lengthened as her fur stood on end. "Oh my dear Queen, do you ever learn? Everything has to yours or not exist at all..." Cheshire's eyes clung now to the Hatter, who stared back with the same intent. "The Queen is not getting her answer, Shall we dance?"
The Mad Hatter smirked. "Of c--" He fell to his knees, clutching hold of his head tightly. A cry of pain escaped his lips."
The Queen of Hearts stepped back from the cage, confused and fearful of the incident occuring before her. "What are you doing to my doll..? Stop this! You're hurting him!" She said with plea and demand.
Cheshire slashed her claws towards teh Queen, who fell back and screamed. Her eyes were still focused on her friend and foe. She began to chant. "Hatter.. Hatter.. What does he do? Does he sing? Does he dance? Does he play? He the tool. He the doll. Sing with me Hatter.. Dance with me Hatter.. Play with me Hatter.. Let's play d---"
"Decease and desist!" The King of Hearts commanded as he stormed into the room, ending her chant with his spell.
Cheshire fell back instantly. Her fur and claws were back to normal, and her eyes, closed.
The Queen of Hearts stood after she believe she was safe and strolled past the now fainted Mad Hatter, to her brother. "What was your pet going to do to my doll?!"
The King raised an eyebrow towards his sister. "Your doll..?" He sighed. "She was going to kill him."
"What?!" The Queen shrieked.
The King stood by the bird cage, examining his pet and friend. "You've harmed her...."
The Queen glared. "She wouldn' tanswer me. Under your orders I presume?" She sneered, her arms crossed in front of her chest.
"You've harmed her." The King repeated himself. He reached into the cage, gripping hold collar around Cheshire's neck and crushed it with his bare hands. He caught Cheshire as she fell through the bottom of the cage and turned towards his sister. "All this over a human you could just send home.. You're pathetic." He turned his back to her and walked from her sight.
