Resented Virtue
You never know what life is truly about until death claims you as it's own. What can you do then? Nothing. How can you express it to others? Impossible. How can you reach others? You can't. These answers are so simple, yet so explanitory. So sad, yet so thick. So full of lies, yet they are nothing but the truth. You deny them over and over, but I can tell they will always creep back into your mind after you've read them put so bluntly like this. I hate to be the be the bearer of bad news, but not every second of life can be cherished. The one word to explain a perfect life is not happiness, mainly because no on word can explain a perfect life. Another reason, there is no such thing as a perfect life. As much as we would like, like the old saying all know just a little too well, nothing is ever perfect. But, perhaps we can change that. We should love and respect each being on this earth. There's possibly sixty billion people on this big blue and green globe and it's all of our homes. I may be young, twelve to be exact, but I am not ignorant. If I could change the way everyone sees life the way I do, I would. This isn't a very long introduction, I know, but listen to this story and the girls feelings. This is reality to me. Dreams are something I grew up without. Did I smile? Yes. Was my family good? Yes. Was my life good? Yes. But, I grew up realizing what society brought upon the human race. Anger, violence, denial, sorrow, chaos, fear, these are a few of the bad things. Not all bad, however. For everything has an opposite. Serenity, peace, realization, happiness, order, and leadership. This book is about one girl realizing a few things about life that aren't grief or depression, her entire life was filled with material things. And yet, she gave up heaven, a place of eternal and unearthly happiness, for a second chance at life. An existence filled with despair, is what an eternal realm of happiness was traded for. But, even though you may think me a naive, young child, I want to share with you what I think life's meaning is. It is nothing and everything, faded but glittering, hell and heaven and some realm in between, peace and war, tears and smiles, I believe these are the things that make up the lives we share. And I wouldn't have it any other way, would you? You might say we need all good, but we need balance, for without it, we have nothing. How can we see virtue if there is no inhumanity to compare it to?
