Santos
Cyrus' eyes jolted open. It was dark, but he could sort of see who was in front of him. From what the figure had said, he was definitely male. He had long, blonde hair that stuck up a bit. His eyes matched the night sky: deep black, but they also shone like stars. His skin was a tan color, like the beach. His breath still had the scent of blood, but there was another smell to it. Cigarette smoke.
Their faces were only centimeters apart, which made Cyrus slide back a bit in his bed. He hated being close to people. "W-what...?" he managed to say, scared to death.
The odd boy sat up on the bed, sighing heavily. "Oh, c'mon, man, you're as bad as they said, aren'tcha? Shy to a fault, eh?...That'll take God knows how much time to fix..." His accent was a little Hispanic-sounding. Slick.
Cyrus snatched his pillow from under his head and covered his face with it. "P-please don't hurt me! I'm sorry for doing something to you!" he pleaded, nearly in tears already.
The figure stood up on the bed and sat down on the window next to the bed. It was open; probably where the boy came from. "God, will you calm down? Geez, I'm not gonna kill you or anything. Now quiet down!" He poked his head out the window staring outside at the sleeping city. He looked back at Cyrus, who had taken the pillow away from his face.
"Alright, come with me outside," the boy told Cy, "We gotta talk."
"B-bu—"
"No excuses. Now, man!"

Cyrus stepped down on the cobblestone street where his house was located on. Nessmond was sort of an old city, so it kept a lot of its ancient stuff. However, most of it would be destroyed soon, thanks to the Alpha 23. It was nearly pitch black outside, meaning it was somewhere past midnight. Streetlights were the only source of light outside, but that was good enough.
Cy's strange visitor dropped down from the wall of the house. How he climbed that well, Cyrus had no idea.
The boy could clearly be seen now, thanks to the streetlight close by.
He was rather tall, with a light blue hoodie with skulls and bones on them. His black jeans were ripped in some places, going along with the jet black skater shoes. Cyrus didn't notice inside, but he had a blue hilted sword at his waist. Just staring at it made Cy wince with bad memories of that long-haired redhead.
"Okay," started the stranger, "let's cut to the chase. What's your name, kid?" He pulled a notebook out of his pocket and looked into it like it was a treasure.
"C-Cyrus, sir...Cyrus Silva…”
“Okay, Mr. Silva…Silva, Silva, Silva, I know it’s around here somewhere…Aha! There you are!” A smirk appeared on the guy’s face as he pointed to something on his book. “Says here your birthdays comin’ up in a few days, right?”
Cyrus scratched the back of his head. “Y-yes, that’s true, sir, b-but…”
“But?”
The shy boy avoided eye contact with the blonde boy. “H-how did you know that?...” It was odd enough that the guy had come into the night and taken him out here. What was it that he could have possible wanted? To wish me a happy birthday? Yeah, right, Cyrus told himself mentally. Like THAT’S going to happen…
He grinned, showing a fang in his smile. “Ah, well, don’t ask me. I’m just here for my job. Here’s my card.” The boy reached into his pocket and pulled out a light blue card with words on them. Handing it to Cyrus, he beamed like he was proud of that card.
Cy looked down at the piece of paper, reading it in his mind:
Santos Celio
Guardian, Rank V
Acrux Headquarters
Guardian, Rank V
Acrux Headquarters
Cyrus tilted his head at the card. "Acrux Headquarters...?"
Santos slapped his forehead in distaste. "Oh, man, you are just OBLIVIOUS, huh? Geez...Okay, we don't have much time, so..." He looked around, lost for words. The boy brought a cigarette out of his pocket and to his mouth. He paced around, muttering to himself and smoking. Then, suddenly, he jumped and pointed up with his cigar, like he just got a genius idea.
"I know what to do! I'll just show ya!" he squealed with delight, turning around.
Cyrus took a step back, not sure what he was talking about. "W-what are you—"
Klonk!
Cy fell to the ground, unconscious.
