"In my dream I stand before four living creatures,
Not human, but not animal either.
There is a Lamb that stands between me and them,
It is surrounded by four seals
Each one of them brings a new evil to the Earth,
And each evil is more sinister then the last..."
Arriving, each one of them upon a horse,
They sweep the land with no remorse
They are named:
Death, Pestilence, Famine and War
When they come the Earth shakes to it's core.
"...I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals.
Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, "Come!"
I looked, and there before me was a white horse!
Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown,
And he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest..."
Pestilence is first to come, for conquest he is born,
And upon this quest of conquering, his entire life is sworn
Running, bargaining, or begging, none shall save thee from his bow
He is the one to start the end of life and time and all
"...Mute horns anounce his arrival..."
"...When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!"
Then another horse came out, a fiery red one.
Its rider was given power to take peace from the Earth and to make men slay each other.
To him was given a huge sword..."
Behind Pestilence arriving next is War
Riding upon a wild red horse
And wielding a tremendous sword
To bring us hatred is his curse
To take all evil and make it worse
For sons, and fathers, and daughters, and mothers, to slay eachother
To hate and to kill, to destroy is his will and his power
"...When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come!"
I looked, and there before me was a sickly black horse!
Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand.
Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures,
Speaking in a foreign tongue..."
As War completes his task he steps away,
Making way for his brother
Famine, his name is,
And he is the one with the powers to mesure the value of life
And to make all that's hard even harder
For all kings to fall
For all life to crawl
For mankind to cry for salvation
For strong wills to bend
For the world to end
With just this one final damnation
"When the Lamb opened the fourth seal,
I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, "Come!"
I looked and there before me was a pale horse!
Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him.
They were given power over a fourth of the Earth to kill by sword, famine and plague,
And by the wild beasts of the earth."
And in the wake of Famine, Pestilence and War
The last one arrives
With Death as his name
And Hell as his allay in power
A quart of the Earth is his prize
A quart of the Earth where Hades will rise
A quart of the Earth a quart of demise
The Apocalypse is never far
From where these four riders are
When they all ride as one,
All hope is gone
The end has began
"...This is the vision I saw in my dream."
Not human, but not animal either.
