This is me swallowing my pride
Standing in front of you
Saying, "I'm sorry
For that night."
And I go back to December
All the time...
Standing in front of you
Saying, "I'm sorry
For that night."
And I go back to December
All the time...
Okay, so I'm obviously talking about one of Taylor Swift's songs, if you know anything about country music. Usually I can relate to her songs, but this one is one that I cannot. Here's my take on how the song should be sung so I could relate to it::
This is me gaining all my pride
Standing in front of you
Saying, "I'll never be sorry
For that night."
I hope you go back to December
All the time.
Standing in front of you
Saying, "I'll never be sorry
For that night."
I hope you go back to December
All the time.
See, I broke up with my boyfriend in December, but the fact is I do not miss him. In her song, she's saying she misses the guy, whereas I'm the total opposite. I'd be happy to never have to see his face again or hear his name. I know this sounds like I still care about him, but honestly, I'm saying this to prove a point to myself (that I don't need him). And if he ever were brave enough to come around this entry, I hope he reads it and gets a clue.
"You can only push a girl so far before she walks out of your life completely. So be sure that's what you want because once she turns around, she's never coming back."
