Today was a very "productive" day you could say.
I went to the first meeting of recycling club, we are going to start collecting recycling next Thursday, as soon as we get the idiotic janitor to stop putting our recycling into his trash bin.
Then after School went to the local church for girl scouts and made Japan relief kits, We only could make about 30-40 because of a shortage on some supplies, but everything that wasn't turned into a kit was donated to soldiers in Iraq.
Afterward We learned about a gold project (The gold award is the highest award available in Girl Scouting, I only have a bronze and silver at the moment.) a girl is doing, to bring memory boxes back in to hospitals. Memory Boxes are Boxes that are given to women who's children died before, during, or immediately after birth, usually containing things like hospital bracelets and other memorabilia or the child. When women get the news that their child is dead after giving birth they tend to forget whats going on because they are grieving so much. Memory Boxes are a nice thing to give to them just as remembrance and to show someone cares, but our local hospital had to stop giving them out.
So a girl from our troop is going to inform troops about this to get donations so the hospital can start giving the memory boxes back out.
My part of this is too keep a journal for 30 days, about nothing in particular... just life.. which is what this journal basically is.
After this long productive day, Me and 3 other teenagers played Tag in the front lot of the church in the dark, Right across the street from one of the busiest streets in my county.
It was a good day
