Isn't wierd? Growing up and throwing away your childhood toys trading it for a desk or maybe just an empty space. When you go through your stuff to clean out ye' old room and throw some stuff away it should make you think. When you look at the items you automatically assume, oh just trash, and throw it away. But, isn't it strange how when you were litte, everything that your throwing away was very special to you? Like, when mom took away the barbies or G.I.Joes for a day because you painted on her carpet with her nail polish and you were so upset that she could be so mean. So you went to your room and cried, feeling so lonely that your most prized possessions were stripped away from your grasp! But looking at it now, they are just small amounts of childhood memories in your big grown up hands. It just makes me ponder about growing up and how hard it is. When you were little and couldn't reach something, someone bigger always brought it down for you. When mom or dad would tuck you in at night you always felt safe in your childhood room. Filled with dreams and memories and the innocence of believing in everything that is anything. But now, the world is tough, the economy is hard, and money is tight. Unlike your ever so parents complaing about how hard it used to be, we are practically commiting scuicide trying to find a simple job. Instead of wondering if santa is going to come for christmas you have to think about who is going to pay the bills this month. Instead of dreaming about the Jonas Brothers or the 100 Dalmations, you dream about the stock market crashing tomorrow and your business. Its your life and make it worth while. yeah, your growing up, becoming a big kid. But who's to tell you to shut down your dreams. Moral of this journal is, never let anyone say its improper to act like a child, because, sometimes... Thats all you have left.
