your skin that was once so warm
now stings to the touch
the coldness of your face, your hands, your heart...

at first look you seem so normal
always a smile playing on your lips....
mocking me, teasing me, tearing me down

so pale...
and breaking more and more
with each day that passes

if i drop you,
you would shatter
everything about you says your delicate

but that stare tells me otherwise
you dont blink
or ever close your eyes

you sit on an empty shelf
waiting and watching
creating unease

i wont be alone with you...
not a minute
not a day

and when i finally get the courage
ill take you off your shelf...
your watch tower

ill pack you away
where you shall stay...
forever.
