Stemmed from a discussion on Valentines with a guest, Miss Valiant:
--
"Kyouya-senpai~ the Valentine you sent me made my heart go all a flutter~ heart "
"I'm delighted to hear you enjoyed it, Miss. -smiles pleasantly- I thank you for yours as well.
Happy early Valentine's Day."
"I fear I'm not the biggest fan of the holiday, to be honest... I don't have anyone special to celebrate it with"
"It's a very commercialized holiday, don't you think?"
"It only comes once a year.
Might as well reap the benefits."
"I find it silly most times... a holiday where in girls either spend all day making or buying chocolate to give to the guy they like in hopes they accept it..."
Hmm, you can attribute that to a marketing strategy with a fluke. -chuckle-
You don't have to go with these traditions. Normally I wouldn't indulge myself with such activities either, but then I thought, "Why not use the situation to my advantage?"
The whole holiday is just "if I give x this gift then I should get something in return." give chocolate, hope for something for Whites Day... in America "Oh,I gave her expensive jewelry, now I get sex"
How do you use any of those situations to your advantage
-laughs dryly- Then I'm afraid my answer might disappoint you, Miss. I believe a person's actions are caused by selfish motivation and pure give and take.... and well, I take advantage of it by offering products/services that help others celebrate the holiday.
Just to make things perfectly clear: I don't pursue that kind of emotional benefit you have in mind. My interest lies in the monetary factor. It is my wish not to be held liable for other people's twistings of the holiday to their own idea of benefit"
"So you prefer to be the person to sell the chocolate, jewelry, the naughty underwear..."
"...now, now;;; I never said anything about that line of product..."
"Let us push aside this erroneous assumption on the Ootori conglomerate, shall we?"
"~giggles softly~"

... As a representative of the Ootori group, I wish to make a publicized statement.
We of the Ootori Conglomerate like to diversify in business; but may we make it perfectly clear that it is usually within the medical field and management. ie., hospitals and resorts. Perhaps investments, but nothing concerning... undergarments.
Neither are we looking down on other companies with such natures in their business... it is a legitimate need on its own, for clothing falls under the Physiological in Maslow's Hierarchy. Still, it is not within the scope of the Ootori Conglomerate.

If you like, I would refer you to Yuzuha Hitachiin. I do believe she designs a wide range of clothing...

That will be all. Thank you.
