I tend to act like this: Quiet, most of the time. I only open up to people who have proven themselves to be honest with me. I will however Never compromise on what I believe. I follow my own path.
Story of my life: I was born into wealth. So much so, that I was told outright, that I’d never have to work a day of my life. I didn’t like that. Once I could I started getting odd jobs here and there, and I gave the money to someone else who could use it. I worked to spite my parents. However when I was 18, they gave me a Companion. It was the first gift I ever actually thanked them for sincerely. I of course treated her with kindness and respect. She was a person in my eyes. Not a tool or a possession. I’ve always done everything I could to show her that, and to keep her safe. She is important to me. Once, when someone saw how well I treated her, felt the need to remind me that “she’s a thing, not a person.” So I decked him. I’ll do the same to anyone else who says anything bad about Emmie.
I recently just moved out of my parents house. They insist on helping support me. I accept it. But only enough to pay bills and buy necessities. Beyond that, I don’t want to rely on them for anything. I want to keep Emmie safe. And with this group SEVR, that seems like it will get even harder.
