I wish that you could be here,
but time and fate won't allow that.
So there in my mind, you will be here
Laying right next to me, oh so beautiful.
I'll try to remember your voice,
Reenacting them in my mind, and put them into words,
Until the words are clear enough to be sentences.
I'll be the only one, just you and I.
You'll tell me you love me
As we laugh as our feet touch.
I will say I love you too,
and we would kiss, knowing we are safe and sound
Right here, next to each other
Oh how it would be so perfect.
