It's funny sometimes, the way life hits you. The way that life can smack you in the face and tell you that it is coming for you. Days pass by too quickly. And the minutes seem to tick awy too fast. Life is not always waiting for you to catch up. Today I made a realization. In a week, I'm going to be a grown up. I am going to have been alive for exactly eighteen years. That is a week from today.
These past two years, I have began taking care of myself. I have began paying for myself, taking care of myself, and I have been thinking of my future. Turning eighteen is not that big of a deal for me. I have already grown up. That isn't that big of a deal.
But sometimes it really sucks. It really sucks that I have to be a grown up while I'm still a kid. I have a job, I have more money than my mom, I have to take care of my family and it sucks. It really does suck to have to be a grown up. It really sucks that I am turning eighteen and it sucks that I am always looking after my mom.
