One brilliant flash and it is gone....

Yesterday night, I was a complete moron...
I burned myself>.>;;

Was making green bean casserole for the second time ever. I used an oven mitt to take off the "glass" lid, stirred the beans, added the fried onions and when I went to place the lid back on, and like an idiot, I wasn't paying attention and grabbed the glass knob with my hand! Why? Didn't think it would be that hot...yes...even though it was glass(I don't cook in it much so that sort of explains the stupidity...)....and I even had the oven mitt in the other hand that wasn't being used!!! gonk
Picking the lid up and holding it...the quick response....and I didn't let go fast enough! Why? The lid was glass and my second thought besides "AHHH! PAAAIIIN!" was I didn't want to break it so I tried to place the glass down as fast as possible without dropping it.

Hours of pain and fun...well...minus the fun redface
Typing was a bugger...
And since I had homework due, I was writing with my left hand instead....the handwriting looks terrible and I never finished the assignment sweatdrop

When I woke up this morning, the hand was 100% better. A light blister on the middle finger, but no real pain either.

So the lesson learned:
Hot glass must not touch fleshy 3nodding
Which is something I learned 16 years ago sweatdrop
