Nature's Embrace
The leaves of the awakened trees sway.
As mother nature waves winter away,
she sings a song of warm welcome.
The buds bloom
as the hummingbirds zoom.
Spring has come.
But, can you say mother nature's done?
No.
She leaves those who fear the upcoming,
bound with English ivy.
With a spark in her eye,
she tortures them with pollen.
She strongly dislikes the ones easily fallen.
Tightening her ivy's grip.
And, taking one strong sip.
She feeds on the sweat and tears of the fallen victims
for they are unable to tame her
and her minions outgrowing fur.
