I just got a review from another writer on FanFiction.Net and it really irritated me. He/she had written:

"Hey, bite me! What a great R-fic... but why is it R? I would say PG13+!
All my fics are PG13+ but never R!
Oh well, enough of that crap, this is good. More chaps thanks! smile "

Uh, huh. That was a real intelligent "review," right? I was under the impression that reviews consisted of intelligent comments, both good and bad that would help a writer to improve on their skills. At least that's what I learned in my creative writing classes in high school and college taught me. Not just "...tht wz gud, writ more plz." Yes, I have recieved a comment like that on another site. Makes me really confident of my own and the future generations that will inherit the world. It makes me just want to walk out into a busy crowd and scream, "You're all f--king idiots" at the top of my lungs.

*deep breath, in-out, in-out* I'm calm. Nothing's wrong here........(yeah, right)......

Well, I usually will rate my fics based on what the entirety of the storyline will encompass. That makes it so that I won't have to go back to change the rating later or have the fic pulled from the site. *And* I'm a big girl now, out of high school for a few years and in college for a few more, so I think that I'm mature enough to write with an R rating, wouldn't you say? Actually, for the future chapters, I think that an R rating will barely hold up to what I'm planning for the characters. The site itself will pull stories if they think that the rating isn't up to what the fic actually is. So if I have say extreme violence or mature situations (which I will), then they might pull the fic and I'd have to repost the damn thing all over again.


What was I talking about again? Reviews. Right. Constructive critisism sould be just that. Some complements on the good parts and some suggestions on the things that need work. I mean, I may or may not take the suggestions, but at least I'll know that you read the fic thoroughly. Grrr...

You know, this would have to be the longest I've ever posted on anything....wow.
