AX was a blast this year...but sadly it has all but faded into a memory now *tear* On saturday, me and my friend dressed up as a girl in a kimono (me) and a Kyo fangirl (friend). Having people take pictures of you truly makes you feel special. So we were on the pre-registration line that went...hmm...about five times across what felt like the length of an immense parking garage. We saw a guy dressed up like Howl and each time we saw him, we screamed "WE STILL LOVE YOUR COSTUME!"
After two hours of waiting in line, we were finally able to get our badge holders, thus letting us go into the exhibit hall where we did am insane amount of shopping while looking for the gaia stand...which we later found out didn't exisist -__- For less than $60 I got a good amount of stuff. I got a black 'glomp me' t-shirt, a kenshin plushie, a Kaoru plushie, a kenshin keychain, DN Angel manga, Ouran high school host club manga, chrno crusade manga, and a bunny hat!
We went to the hotel early on saturday because going across that large room about 6 times totally killed our feet -___- On that day alone...I think I saw about 5 Sasukes, 1 Howl, 35 Eds, 40 Soras, 1 Soujiro, 1 Kamatari, 3 Sanosukes...one who actually brought a 15 ft long zanbatou.
Next morning we destroyed the 'glomp me' shirts so we could make them off the shoulder. The first time someone glomped me at the convention...I was in shock and so was my friend. But that got old because throughout the day about 10 different people "glomped" us >.<
We watched Howl's moving castle and then went to a Shojo beat panel in which they hid stickers under chairs that would get us prizes should we find one. Me and my friend went hysterical trying to find the stickers under each chair of the room, I even took off my sandals so I could jump over chairs and slide under them more easily. I wanted the vampire knight necklace...but got nothing because we couldn't find a stupid sticker >.<
We then went to watch two episodes of DN Angel...which was actually a lot of fun.
While we waited for my parents to take us out to dinner, we found a huge group of people cosplaying as the Ouran Host club, and they were VERY popular. There were three sets of twins...one pair even got down on the floor, a common Hikaru and Kaoru scene which made me laugh so hard. Some of the people dressed up as hosts even gave flowers to girls that past them. A guy dressed up as Takeshi gave me and my friends roses...I'm never throwing that flower away >.<
After dinner we came back for the Gaia panel, which they managed to cram 1,000 people in one room >.< And every year my friend manages to get me the darts to shoot at the admins.
Over all I always have a blast at AX, no complaints yet. Next year will be even greater because I hope to see Yosho next year! I'm going to dress up like the president of the black magic club from Ouran host club and as Rina so I can be worshipped at the Gaia panel XD
