Sitting in Darkness
Sitting in the darkness
Where I'm at rest
Nothing can save me there
No one among the blessed
Tears fall from my eyes
No one to wipe them away
They dry and stick to my face
Leaving a mark to stay
My hair swept in front of my face
A breeze brushed by me
I look up to find out
What I would be amazed to see
A man kneeled down
Bending to see me
He wiped the tears from my face
But he could not agree
For when he told me,
"You are not alone".
It made me smile
Which surely had shown
He reached for my hand
That took me by surprise
His warmness surrounded me
That made me arise
That's the time his hug
Made me feel love
Sitting in that darkness
Is something I should not be afraid of.
