a warning to all florida passers-through
It has been about a week. Don't worry, don't worry, you haven't missed a thing. Other than the fact that I drove over 500 miles today, or yesterday, I should say(It is 1 o'clock in the morning) and I get to do about as much again today. Woo Hoo. You may ask yourself:"why in the world is she up this late when she has to get up early and drive in the morning?" Well here's your answer. I am staying in one of the sorryest hotels I have ever stayed in. And that is alot. It is the Days Inn off I-10 in pensacola, Florida. I paid about 89 bucks to stay in this room for all of 8 hours and it wasn't worth it. First of all, I am scared to take a shower in the bathroom due to the fact that whoever is above this room, is taking a shower and I like to use the clean water from the shower head, not what is left over from running over the person above me, their drain, and the cieling above me. (but if you didn't get that little peice of info, the ceiling is leaking over the shower.) Next, I paid a few extra buck to have a non-smoking room...I don't like to smell stinky stuff, but alas, when I walked through the door, I smell mildew. I paid extra for a non stinky room, I want a non stinky room! Next, since it is only my fiancee' and I, we only had need of one bed. I wanted to save the rooms with two beds for the people traveling with kids and stuff like that. So we got a room with a queen sized bed, surely that would be enough for my 6 foot 3 fiancee' and then me being 5'10. But once again, alas...it was a queen sized head board...but not a queen sized mattress. it was more like a large single. But hey, I am on vacation, I don't want to make a fuss, we are just staying one night, not living here as Dewayne said. (i could go on forever with the wrongness of this room, but you already got the point, I am sure) But anyway, now I can't sleep and I am up at now 2:05 am writing in my online journal. I have to be awake in 4 hours to drive another 6 hours to get to my luxury 5 star resport in Orlando, Florida. But NOOOOO, I have to be forced to lay there, tossing and turning, over nearly 100 bucks thrown down the drain on this stinking, festering, cess pool of a hotel in Florida.....*sigh* I just wanted to type "festering" But I guess to get to the good hotel, you have to go through some bad. So to all you future florida travelers...do yourself a favor and go next door to the econo lodge or sleep in your car...whatever you need to do, just stay away from the days inn off I-10 in Pensecola, FL.
