So. A lot of things happened. There was definitely a lot of family time for week! Oh man. Got to see my lil 5 month old nephew. He was so overwhelmed with everything and everyone all the time, but did very well. This big family!! It's a lotta people lil babeh. He did great!
Judy and Eric spent one night at our house. Meer. I don't think they quite liked it so much. We'll have to do better on the next one. They drove and flew back to Idaho like yesterday.
I've come to realize that I hate my niece. She's too active and loud for me. omg. It's horrid! But she's 9. She'll be this way for a little while. Damn. I really do hate it tho. Thanks TBI. She's rude, obnoxious, an attention grabber, .....just........ugh. no respect for anyone saying no either.
Well, let's see. My lil two yo niece was wrapped up in dad being around. It was too cute! We did a lot that day. Our family is now like almost 20 people and dad paid for EVERY DAMN THING we did that day and then some. Lil baby Roz was holding onto Grampa Bruce every minute. he loved it. She was all into holding his finger and being held by him all day.
First thing we did was a local bus tour called La Zoom. Of course, Roz was on Grampa's lap. The tour guide had to talk(yell) into a mike for a whole hour. He did well, and my ears hurt afterwards. Our group, when we get together, is almost 20 people I think. So dad shelled out a bunch of money for a whole day of stuff!! The guide was great, but too kid friendly for me. I didn't like the tour, and didn't learn stuff I didn't know. so ...bleh for me, but really good for everyone else I guess. our group was right up front so he picked on us a bit. He asked what my nieces wanted to be, the answers were a Vet and an ER nurse with a PHD, and Roz stuck her lil arms out and flapped so he said a bird. Then we went to lunch at Matt and I's favorite place, that we only go to once in 4 months. Dad paid for 18 people's lunch and ice cream as well as my new shoes. ahhhh!! so much!! Chris(stepmom) got pics of Roz and dad. She had chocolate EVERYWHERE. all over her mouth and pants....so cute and silly! Then we left for an hour ish. and met up again at like 4:30. I wanted to nap, but just had to change my shirt and wait a bit to go again. Dad and Chris took one niece with them. They sat with some drinks while she played and cartwheeled on the baby soccer field. Then we headed on towards Tina's for dinner and more family time. The minute dad got out of that car Roz ran towards the gate, squeaking for Grampa. Geez, no one else matters to her. We sat and chatted and they gave out gifts from South Africa. The sisters got a brightly colored hat and a vase. The significant others got nothing. Rude. I got a bucket hat. It's super brightly colored and reversible. Yeay. I'm not a wearer of hats. I'll try to get used to it, but that bucket hat is just....too long for me. It is pretty cool tho.
The other two nieces are Louisa (9) and Annie(11). That Louisa is just....too much for me to deal with. I have a hard time with her. The other is being a lil smartass. She is beginning to become a teen so...uck. Louisa was hanging around Roz and squishing her into hugs that she was not enjoying. It made me really upset. I'm one who loves hugs at any time, but....Roz not wanting hugs just....ugh, ya know. On the swings those two were disobeying their parents at every second. Roz got kicked kiiiiinda by accident, after Louisa was told not to do that, and Roz cried. When momma came to the rescue she was all better tho. And Grampa, of course. Grandpa Bruce and Grandma Chris had bought sushi for everyone and a little bit of habachi especially for me. (I used to not want sushi. Now I love it tho!) When it got dark, we went in and got to sit through pics and videos from SA. I have ZERO interest in South Africa and Zebras. Ugggg. So just....no fun for me really. but they did get some good photos for sure. One pic I just adored tho. I may frame it. I mean, some of the stories were mildly interesting for me. but not much. So I just watched Roz the whole time. I guarantee one of those animals is gonna be her favorite at one point. I did love the video of elephants. That was really cool. Roz's eyes and mouth just got so big and surprised by everything. After the slide show and stories, we all left.
It was a good time. with a little bit of sourness thrown in for taste.
Before that day, Judy and Eric took me out to Malaprops(local bookstore) and bought me some gifts cuz they missed my bday. I picked out a jigsaw puzzle, a cross stitch beginner kit and a set of Spirited Away pencils. The puzzle is 1000 pieces and a piece of art called Dharma Dragon in the Android James Collection, if you wanna look it up. It's a beautiful Aztec goddess.I didn't think 1000 would be a problem, but it really is. This picture is super intense. When I picked it up, I just thought "ooooo prettyyy". It is very overwhelming! but Eric gave me a good start and I have kindof a plan. Each time I sit down at it, my plan will be 2 or 3 pieces and then I leave it so I don't go ******** nuts. Today I put in 4! weee!
Then they spent the night at our house. They had agreed to play DnD with us. They seemed to enjoy it, but not really I suppose. at the end of it, they said it's not their thing...That made Matt upset bc he was trying to make it through his story, but there was too much side conversation going. Which was fun for me, but yea....there was a lot of it. Then I kindof made them (eeeehhhh) watch Spirited Away with me. Eric didn't make it far bc he was so tired. Judy stayed for me, I'm positive. but yea...at halfway I cut it off bc she was down. We finished it the next day. Eric has seen it before, and Judy enjoyed it for her first time. weee. but she's not a movie person like me anyways.
So we'll do better next time and I won't make them watch a movie. DnD isn't their thing exactly so...I'm not sure what to do for next time really. We did take them out to a candy and soda shop that Eric really liked. So what will we do the next time they come?? I really don't know.
