Katie was a tough girl, who didn't stand for disrespect from other people. She's self-centered and always thinks of herself as the top of everything. She may seem annoying to others, but if your her friend, you won't regret it. She may sound like a bad person, but when it comes to pokemon, she's the nicest she could possibly be!
Katie owns four pokemon. One was her started pokemon, Squirtle, who's now a Wortortle named Shellshock. The other was her Butterfree, Sunshine. Then there's Bulbasaur, and Paula the Nidoran(F). She was proud of each and every one of them, and never doubted them in battle.
"So here's the gym." Katie said as she stopped at the entrance. She closed her eyes and imagined the inside of the gym: Everyone in swimsuits and trunk, a big pool, and tons of water pokemon! Water pokemon seemed so amazing to Katie.
Excited, she pushed the double doors wide open, feeling the cool breeze of inside. She walked into some sort of lobby, then went down one hallway... only to be disappointed.
Inside, there was a big pool with lots of seats surrounding it, for the spectators.
There were well drawn pictures of water pokemon on the walls as well, but that's not what upset her. What upsetted Katie was the fact that no one was there.
"Excuse me," said a young, pretty woman from behind me. She had gorgeous blonde hair, and beautiful eyes. "Isn't it rude to just burst in here without, like, us knowing?"
Katie blinked. "Us?"

"So, you three ladies own the gym?" Katie asked the three ladies who sat on the giant sofa.
"Well, us and our baby sister, Misty." the blue-haired lady said. "She's not here though. She's out travelling with her boyfriend."
Katie raised an eyebrow. The way these ladies talked was so different from what she expected. "Are you really pokemon trainers?"
"Well, sorta... but if you wanted a pokemon battle, your not gonna get one." the other woman said as she opened her palm to reveal a Cascade Badge. "But if you wanted this, here you go."
Katie's mouth hung wide open. She couldn't believe these girls.
"But....but....."
Just then, a lightbulb lit on full blast in her head. What if she took over this Gym? She'd take way better care of it than these ladies, and she could finally be famous!
"Hey ladies, what if I took over the Cerulean City Gym for you?" Katie asked excitedly. Katie was dream was to be as famous as she could possibly be.
The three gym leaders looked at each other.
"Well... how many water pokemon do you own little Katie?" the blonde girl asked.
"What? Uh..." Katie replied, drawn back at the question. "One, miss."
"Like, that's it? Oh little Katie, you most definitely can't be a gym leader! You have to stick to water-type pokemon if you want to own this gym." the blue-haired girl said, flipping her hair back. "But then again, me and my sisters were planning on going on our vacation. Hm...."
"Oh! Like, I have an idea!" the blonde one said, "Why don't you get more water pokemon, and then come back!"
"Awesome!" Katie said. Yes, yes, yes! she thought. Camera interviews, fanclubs, and constant chances to beat down other trainer! I'm soooo gonna love it!
"Oh, but little Katie," the other lady said, "If you don't come back soon, we'll leave, and leave Misty to the Gym. You'd have to face her for the gym."
But Katie didn't hear. She was too busy daydreaming. She left the Gym promptly, and decided to head to Saffron City, and then to Vermillion City. Sure enough, Katie would run into some sort of water pokemon, and then she'd catch it.
