My writing
I suppose I'll put some of my writing in here
3: Stories
They had walked for days, as it seemed, although it probably had been no longer than a few hours. His new companion continued to spring flames from her body like a furnace, occasionally giggling at the lights it created. He was feeling quite useless at the time, he didn’t know this forest or how much of it there was. The occasional rustling sound was met with a shriek and a large burst of bright flame, which usually was nothing more then a small animal or fallen branch. He pondered more about his current situation and the future of it, he knew now that he was in a great amount of danger. He did not want this, he did not want this girl to be escorting him, he did not want to be attacked by a large iron man, he did not want to be seduced by a stage demon creature. He wanted to find his mother’s body and find out why she was killed. He knew this already to be impossible, since he had already dove to deep into this hellish situation. As he walked deep in thought, the girl approached silently closer to him. He continued to be oblivious as she put a flaming hand upon his cloak starting a small fire traveling up from the fringes as she began to giggle uncontrollably. His thought were suddenly interrupted by the smell of smoke nearby, he decided to cast it off as another one of the girls antics. He soon felt a burning sensation upon his back and he stopped feeling at his cloak, it was now burning brightly. He gasped ripping off his cloak and throwing it to the ground stomping at it furiously. She laughed at him falling over in her frenzy, the fire was put out soon after his realization with nothing more then a tattered cloth in its wake. He glared at her bursting with laughter upon the ground unable to control herself, he grew angered and stepped over resting the bottom of his boot upon her face. “Did you do this on purpose my very foolish companion?” He felt a nod and muffled giggle from beneath his foot, as he growled down at her. He had no time for squabbles; he lifted his boot from her and kept walking down the path. She laughed as he felt her voice growing closer to him, he groaned.

They did not walk far before hearing the sound of violent coughing coming from inside the forest thicket and it was coming closer. He grabbed the hilt of his dagger looking to the sound; the girl was surprisingly calm and did not react as violently as to the noises before. Soon a large figure draped in stained and foul smelling garbs that covered his body like a sheet emerged and kneeled using his walking stick to keep him from collapsing. Jareth loosened his grip of his blade and walked over to help the man to his feet, as he came closer he heard many hissing sounds. The man arose from the ground coughing once more this time releasing a small tarantula from his sleeve that scurried away. The girl gave a shrill gasp as the tarantula skittered by her, he herd her set many flames obviously trying to burn the vermin. The man removed his hood revealing a pale white face littered with small vermin crawling about on him, Jareth made a disgusted face and stepped backward. The man smiled slightly and walked toward Jareth. Just before he reached him with his staggering step, Ariel jumped in front of him holding out a hand clasping a large threatening flame. “You… Won’t hurt him, he’s important… And I can’t let him get hurt!” Her words seemed ironic as he recalled the incident not to long back, Jareth smirked and stepped forward. He laid a hand upon her shoulder and said with confidence. “He doesn’t look like he is going to hurt us, who are you?” The man coughed and stepped back scratching at his face, he replied. “I… I don’t have a name… I was never given that luxury.” Ariel growled at the suspicious looking man, sparks jumped from her burnt hand. Jareth walked past her and put a hand on the man’s shoulder, “Where are you traveling then?” The man straitened himself and smiled at Jareth softly, “I… Am trying to escape a mob that was chasing me… They called me a monster, the blamed me for the death of one of their young.” Jareth picked up a small branch from the ground examining it thoroughly and looking at the man, “Well, it seems we are all monsters these days why don’t you come with us?” The man smiled wider as he began to hack up a cockroach upon the path. “I… Would appreciate the company, I have been a misfit since my youth…” He sighed and leaned on his walking stick. He again looked at the twig as he snapped and threw it aside. “Well I suppose if you are going to travel with me I will have to give you a name, I will call you Twig.” The man chuckled softly and nodded holding out his hand, “It is nice to meet you…?” Jareth grasped his hand and shook gently, “Jareth, my name is Jareth.” The man smiled and looked over at the still threatened girl who stood ready to shoot off a large fire at any sight of danger. “And who is you loose-cannon friend?” She let out a sharp breath of offence walking closer, Jareth replied looking back at her as well. “She is my escort, her name is Ariel, although… I don’t know much else about her then that.” She glared up at both of them through fiery eyes. “May I… be included in the conversation of whether or not to take this walking bug sac along with us?” She attempted to sound intimidating which only made them chuckle. Twig put a hand upon her shoulder as she jolted back, she saw that his hand had detached upon her reaction. She looked horrifically upon her shoulder to see a large spider staring at her, she shrieked and swatted it to the ground shooting it rapidly with bolts of fire. The spider reattached upon his hand as the two boys had a laugh over her torment and began walking again down the path. Ariel growled, hellfire burning in her eyes furiously. She stomped behind them contemplating their downfall with each step.

The forest began to run thin, as they realized they were reaching the next stage of their journey. Jareth looked over at Twig and asked intently, “I forgot to ask… How exactly do you command mastery over those vermin that cover you?” The man chuckled and waved his stick in the air. “I was raised as an orphan in a gutter of a place. I had no friends other then those that came in through the walls or cracks in the floor. After a while they began to do small favors for me, like getting me food or toys. A strange man that taught me to hone the vermin that I had become so accustom as abilities then adopted me. I did not know him very long; he died from a strange disease that left him organ less.” Jareth shivered at the description as Ariel caught up quickly pulling on Jareth’s belt. “ You never asked me about my life…” She whined and kept tugging at him like a child. “Maybe I would have if you hadn’t set me on fire!” He pulled away and began to walk quicker; she followed tugging at him again. “I’m sorry! It was just a joke…” He stopped abruptly as she knocked into him staggering awkwardly around him. “Fine, what is your story then little one?” She smiled widely and childishly, “I was raised in a town… In a place… Then I made it all burn down! Then after, these cultists who offered me as a sacrifice to the lord of hellfire abducted me. My lord killed them all sparing me, but leaving me with this scar…” She rose up her wrapped arm, looking at it longingly. “Now I do what he says because he takes care of me… And gives me my powers…” She trailed off falling back behind mumbling to herself and looking nervously at both of them. Twig whispered over to Jareth, “Is she okay? Or should we be watching our backs?” Jareth looked back, she stopped mumbling abruptly and smiled widely. Jareth looked back at Twig and replied quietly. “I think we will be fine, just don’t make her angry.” Twig nodded as the both chuckled shallowly. They had gained a new companion, and Jareth’s evil prophecy was yet to be awakened, although his thirst for power was becoming undeniable. He would soon be betrayed by his sense of morality, he knew this as a inevitability.
