I tried real hard to obey Uncle Havy's orders, I trully did. I entered the forest in a sprint but not more than ten feet in I stopped dead in my tracks. It was the first time I had ever entered a forest in my life, and for some reason I felt completely at peace. There was no sense of hurry, rush, fear or panic. It was my first time here and yet it felt like home. Uncle Havy swept my stunned body into his arms and began to run. My eyes drifted to the canopy of leaves as he ran, there was a song in the air. It was a soothing lullabye, whispers from one tree to the next. The more I concentrated on the voices the easier it became to listen to them. I didn't notice as Uncle Havy began to have a harder time to run, branches moved in his way slowing him down, reaching out to me. "I'm real sorry about this love but it's the only way," Uncle havy said before shifting me in his arms and pinching my neck. My lovely green canopy and singing voices became black and silent as I was subdued.
