I only had 45 minutes of school. My friend and I went out and played in the snow and my mom made pizza that my brother, she, and I ate while watching Stranger Than Fiction. Plus, I finished watching Ouran High School Host Club.
Well anyways...
CHAPTER 2
A boy about Kate's age opened the door. He had tannish skin, brown shaggy skater hair, and he had the lightest blue eyes. Kate stared at the boy's eyes, in disbelief that they were so blue. Maybe they're colored contacts. Kate thought to herself.
"Hello, this is Kate and I'm her father." Kate's dad smiled. Kate rolled her eyes at her father's formality.
"Hello, I'm the new guy in your neighborhood," he chuckled softly, "oh, come on in." the boy opened the door out for them to enter his house. Kate and her father walked in with the boy closing the door behind them.
"Hello, we're the new neighbors that just moved in." a lady, the boy's mother, said to Kate and her father.
"Welcome to the neighborhood. We live a few houses up the street." the woman and Kate's father chatted for a while.
"Hey, do you want to go upstairs?" the boy asked Kate.
"Sure," Kate thought for a second, "what's your name?"
"Oh yeah, I'm Jim." Jim walked up the stairs followed by Kate. "My room's this way." Kate and Jim turned right and walked into Jim's room. "I have a lot of junk on the floor, but you can deal with that right?" the walls were painted green and it had wooden flooring. The bed was in the right hand corner of the room and there were boxes everywhere. Kate eyed one of the boxes that read 'manga' on them.
"You like anime too?"
"Yeah, I love it." said Jim. Kate screamed with joy on the inside.
"You don't happen to have a twin sister... do you?" asked Kate.
"Huh?"
"Nevermind." I think I can deal without the twin sister part. The hot anime guy is let alone a gift. Kate smiled to herself.
