-Inkii stood in front of her Grandfather’s desk just barely able to see over the desk itself. ‘Grandfather collects odd things.’ Her childish mind thought as she looked upon an ornate hourglass and other ancient items. She frowned coming to the conclusion that her Grandfather didn’t care much for technology. The most technological thing she saw with in the room was a crank handle record player that sat in the far corner to her left.
-Inkii sighed she’d been standing in front of the dark oak desk for sometime now and was becoming rather bored. She felt a hand on her shoulder causing her to look up. Her Father stood behind her a creepy smile upon his face. She smiled back to be polite, but wanted to run and hide from that smile. She shivered trying to push it from her mind.
-“Good job son, wonderful specimen, you have my favor my boy.” Came an over ecstatic voice from behind the desk.
-Inkii got onto her tip-toes to look over the desk to where an aged version of her Father sat with the same creepy smile upon his face. ‘This must be Grandfather.’ She guessed. ‘He’s odd like Father.’ -The man, her Grandfather, got u from his seat and walked around to see Inkii better. She turned to look at him as well, her feet resting back onto the floor. He was dressed in an eighteenth century modern suit that made him look slightly old fashioned, his white blonde hair was kept back in a pony tail, and his features where thin and well worn looking. He got down on one knee in front of Inkii, as he attempted to make it look as if it was a difficult task. “Hello Inkii, my name is Nai’luesien Amakiir, I’m your Grandfather.” He said with a grin he was apparently trying to hide.
-Inkii looked up at her Father with a questioning look. He merely nodded back down at her and let go of her shoulder.
-“I bet you have lots of questions for me, Inkii.” Her Grandfather said still smiling.
-Inkii nodded. “Yah, like where were you when I had all my birthdays?” she blurted with a frown, placing her hands on her hips.
-Her Grandfather chuckled and ruffled her hair a bit. “I suppose I owe you quit a few birthday gifts.” He looked up at his son to see him frowning down at his daughter.
-“Nah, but you missed out on so much cake and ice cream.” She said astonished.
-Her Father and Grandfather began to laugh. Inkii looked at both of them confused. “Come,” her Grandfather said getting up and urging them to follow him. “I wish to show you around your new home, Inkii.”
-Inkii followed after her Grandfather. “But I live in Washington with Mama and Papa. How can this be my new home?” she asked rather puzzled.
“Oh that is your home.” Her Grandfather said with a sickening smile. “But here you are just as much home as you are there, if not more.” He looked down at Inkii to see her still puzzled expression become even more puzzled. “You will understand when your older.” He said matter-of-factly as they continued down the grand hallway.
-“Okay.” Inkii uttered still thinking things over in her head. She kept up with her Grandfather and being curios she looked back behind her to see her Father keeping his distance a large smile on his face.
