-Inkii sat on the oak desk looking threw a date book she’d found sitting on the desk. She sighed, ‘Nothing useful here, except for his obsession with me.’ She thought placing the book back onto the desk as she stood up and stretched.
-‘I wonder what else is in the old place?’ Inkii wondered, placing her hands in her pockets as she stepped out of the office into the grand hallway. She looked from left to right. “Now which way Ink?” she wondered aloud.
-“You should return to your family.” A cold echoing voice said from behind her.
-Inkii turned, a glock appearing in her left hand, she raised the gun ready to fire. Nothing. She looked back within the office and say only what she had moved. Gun ready she looked to her right down the hall, then to her left. As she looked something passed the corner of her eye. She turned quickly to see a tall thin man dressed in black giving him a ghostly expression.
-“As I said, my lady, you should return home.” The man said this mouth unmoving.
-Inkii stepped back. “This is my home. What is it that you are doing here in it?” she demanded gun still pointed at him.
-“Your home?” the man asked in surprise. -“Yes, my home.” She said as he began to glide around her.
-“I see,” he said stopping in front of her and bowed. “My name is Matthew, I serve the keeper of this mansion, but he has been gone for sometime now and it appears my new Master … err… Mistress has arrived. May I acquire as to your full name?” Matthew asked with a smile that flashed fangs.
-“Inkii Marlin Kaye Amakiir Foxton, is the name my parents gave me.” Inkii said Wishing she’d been given a shorter name. ‘Why do I keep running into the weirdo’s?’ she thought as Marcus and a bunch of shadow spirits flashed threw her head.
-Matthew bowed. “I am ever so pleased to meet you, Mistress.”
-“Right,” Inkii said the glock vanishing. “So tell me Mathew how long has it been since my Grandfather has been gone?”
-Matthew’s face became very solemn. “My Master, your Grandfather, has been gone for nearly five years, my Mistress. If you did not know I am sorry, I presumed everyone in the family knew.”
-“Oh I knew, when Grandfather passed. I was just wondering if my Father ever came to become the caretaker of this place like he was supposed to do in the will.” Inkii said walking down the hall a bit as she gestured to everything around her.
-“My Master’s son?” Matthew laughed. “He is not the heir that has been blessed to have such a finely crafted dark home.” He followed after Inkii slowly gliding along.
-“Really?” said Inkii surprised. “Who was my Grandfather’s heir?” she asked pulling a cover off of a small end table and letting it land on the floor.
-“My Mistress, I am appalled that no one told you and that I must.” Said Matthew is shock. “You are the only heir my Master, your Grandfather, ever listed in his will.”
-Inkii stopped walking and turned back to Matthew. “You mean to tell me I got everything?”
-Matthew nodded. “Ai, everything his mansion, his money, his possessions and everything else you got it all, my Mistress.” He said astonished.
-Inkii was surprised no one told her she’d inherited a fortune, and was suddenly rather angry with everyone as well. ‘I’d had access to a fortune of things this last five years that could have helped us threw the hard times we where having. Mom you’ve worked so had to keep fed and the bills paid, why didn’t you tell me or did you even know?’ Inkii wondered when a thought hit her. ‘Fine it doesn’t matter now, what matters is I find sissy and then I’ll confront Mom about this.’
-“Tell me Matthew what was my Grandfather last working on when he died?” Inkii asked placing her hands behind her back as she continued on down the hallway.
-Matthew glided after her. “Many things Mistress, your Grandfather was a rather busy man.”
-‘I remember.’ Inkii thought as she looked into a room where she used to watch TV and play all sorts of games with her cousins.
