Theme The story of Inuyasha and Kagome as they travel the past fighting demons and collecting the Shikon no Tama shards.
Review If you have cable and like to watch cartoon network, you will know this anime. Its a great action anime with a slew of quirky characters and plenty of commedy in between the cool monster slaying. If it has a fault, its that they waste alot of time inbetween plot based episodes. Not all that bad sicne there is where you will see the funniest things in the anime, but it kind of annoys you when you want to see whats gonna happen with the love triangle between Inuyasha, Kagome, and Kikio.
Its alot like Ranma 1/2, with more plot.
Score I give this a 9/10. Another must see anime.

Theme War, Lords, and warriors of times past, reincarnated in the form of highschoolers. Now, watch as history is repeated.
Review The theme makes it sound like this super serious, fist of the north star-type action anime, but its realy just a regular high school brawling anime. It seems that these high school students who are, coincidently (yea, right!), named after the feudal lords and wariors that fought during the time the anime talked about. Even the schools are named after the countries each lord ruled over. Now, the basis suggest that this should be a cool anime with much violence, blood, and death. This, however, is not the case.
The main character, one Sonsaku Hakufu; who's past self was the one who ended up being the hero to stop the evil lords and brought peace to the country; is now this brainless girl who loves to fight. She's always looking for a fight, but is too stupid to hate anyone. She is also clueless about the history of her predecesor, but everyone else does and end up recriating the past evends without her even knowing. She is the anime's comic relief, and what keeps it from getting too serious.
Aside from that, its a good action anime. Cool martial arts, violence, and a good story to give it purpose. The only real fault with this anime is the excesive amout of fanservice. There isn't a single episode where we dont see at least 4 panty shots or see one of the female fighter's clothes getting ripped off! Hakufu never finish a fight with more than enough cloth to cover her nipples. You never see any nipples, but there is enough skin to call them nude in my book (Nipples and frontal nudity are the ONLY things that aren't shown).
Score I give it 8/10. Its true that I love to see lots of fanservice, but the anime would have been better if it was more serious.

Theme A young boy looking to become the best cook in the world.
Review Who ever said cooking was boring? These guys make cooking look like a blood sport, and the effects are cheesy enough to put Dragon Ball Z to shame. The anime takes place in China, and there is a competition for cooks from all over to gain the tittle of Super Chef. Along with the competition, there is an occult organization who's sole purpose is to control the world through the use of food. The main character, who's name was lost in the abbis that is my memory, is striving to gain the tittle of Super Chef, and at the same time, fighting agaisnt those who would use cooking to control others. The anime also gets realy funny when a japanese boy joins the group.
Score I give this a 10/10.
Side note If you download the fansubs, you are getting the chinese version. Also, somewhere along the line, it changes dialects and it will have different voice actors. Don't let this discourage you, since at that point, the anime starts to pick up, and thats all im going to say ^_^.

Theme Love, friendship, and the mafia as it all boils down into one golden rule: Never Ever Betray the Family!
Review It begins with the Hero killing what looks to be geneticaly engineered monsters, saving one girl. Afterwards, the story begins. We then see how due to tragety, two men join a very powerfull Mafia, and how they move up the ranks in the "Family". Soon after, the Hero's best friend becomes blinded by power, and he begins to plot against the other members of "the Family" and makes himself "Big Daddy", the highest position in the "Family". In the end, he kills the hero, who then gets revived through science, and returns to set things straight, fighting monsters created by the same science that revived him.
The anime feels like a blend of Hellsing, and Cowboy Beebop, and in trooth, there are characters that look almost exacly like characters in said animes. I didnt realy like it. It was realy alot of talking between characters, and this kind of action has been done before countless of times. Pointless, and boring.
Rating I give it a 5/10. I guess if you are a person that loves simple gunfights and violence, then maybe you'll like it.

Ragnarok: The Animated Series |
Theme The story of Roan, the swordsman, and Yuffa, the acolyte, traveling in the world of Ragnarok.
Review Well, the anime isnt bad. Its starts a little slow and then it starts to pick up bit by bit. There isn't much else to say about the anime. If you've played the game, then you prety much can guess what goes on in the anime. The only difference is this has a plot. Truly an anime made for the fans of the game.
Score I give it 07/10. Fans will love it, but nothing new if you're just an anime fan.

How the Entries will be Done |
Theme The main idea of the anime. You probably hear enough of this in english classes, but its very usefull when you are looking for something in an anime, and you dont have time to read every single revie. Also, college english always ask this question, so i could use the practice.
Review Or First Impressions I will put a review when i see a series in its entirery or seen enough of it to give it an accurate score. First Impressions is mostly what i though of an anime from watching a couple of episodes. You can be sure that any entry that has first impresions will be changed into a review once i get to see more of a series. I'll probably use it to remind myself to see the rest whenever i have absolutly nothing better to watch.
Score or Side notes A score is how I think of the anime from a scale of 1-10, and will only be made if i have writen a review for it. If all i have written was jut my first impressions, then this will be where i put any side notes. The sides note will basicaly explan why i havent seen more of it. Almost all of the anime that I watch are downloaded from fan-sub sites, and most of these sites will drop the anime if it gets licensed in the united states. Although I fully support the licensing of anime and hope that people in the states can get a broader view of what many simply think of as "cartoons", licensing of an anime means i wont be able to download them for free anymore. In these cases, I'm left with the series only half done. Sometimes, not enough to give it a good review.
*Sigh*
Oh, and if there is ever anything worth mentioning that isn't part of the review, it will be placed here, wether its scored or not.
As always, I welcome constructive critisism, and i definatly love anime debates. Don't be afraid to send me mail!

Theme A story of a teenage guy who was given the responsibility of taking care of a little girl who was abandoned by her mother in order to become a stronger person.
Review Its a briliantly done anime. Its contains enough drama to almost make a person cry, and enough comedy to keep it from being serious. Its sad because its aparent that even though both Yuzuyu, the little girl, and her mother are separated, they still want to see each other. Kippei, the male lead, does his best to take care of Yuzuyu, and does a great job of being the father figure. It was a rough start when both Yuzuyu and Kippei were simply thrust into each other by Kippei's parents and bossy older sister, but little by little, he not only learned the dificulties of raizing children, but also matured because of it. Along the series, Kippei falls in love with Kokoro, who incidently, was also separated from her mother.
Of course, the anime isn't just one big gooy drama. You didnt think that taking care of kids was a boring job, did you? How do you suppose a teenage boy, who never needed to cook in his life, is going to make lunch for a kindergardener? Its not easy, and the anime makes light of the situation. Its cute, but is just too funny!
Rating I give this a 10/10. If you are into Shoujo anime, then this is a must see!

Uninhabited Planet Survive |
Theme The story of a group of students on a field trip who got separated from the main group and is now stranded on an uninhabited planet.
First Impression When they first got on the planet, the anime reminded me of the story "Lord of the Flies". To those who never went to high school in USA, its the story of a group of school kids who got stranded on an uninhabited island. Not to give anything away of the story, but in the end, one of the kids began rebelling and tried to kill the protagonist and those who were loyal to him.
Side Notes This is one of those animes that i didnt watch right away after downloading it. For future note, i have a tendency of judging anime unfairly due to my mood at the time of watching. If i dont like an anime on a particular time, its because im looking for something in particular and i only downloaded this in the hopes to find what im looking for. Of course, this anime did spark my curiosity and i will give it a second chance. Ill update as i watch more.
