About 7:30 Am, The McClinton sisters are getting ready for school when their mother called them to hurry up. “Winnie, Maddi, Dezie, Nezie!!! You’re going to be late for school!” She yelled from the kitchen. Maddi replied while standing next to her, “I’m right here mom.” Her mother jumped from fright. Maddi giggled and sat down at the breakfast bar. “Lionel, Bring out breakfast before we’re late for school.” Winnie came sliding on the spiral staircase railings. Maddi giggled, “Careful not to lose balance or you might...” Maddi got cut off by a loud noise from Winnie. She had slipped off the railing. Winnie got up and yelled, “I’m Okay! Just a false alarm.” Maddi giggled while their mother just shook her head and sighed. Dezie and Nezie came down the steps in a casual, sporty outfit. Lionel came out with breakfast after everything had calmed down. “Four mini pancakes and 3 strips of bacon for Miss Winnie, Four mini waffles and 3 strips of bacon for Miss Maddi, And 2 mini pancakes and waffles and 3 strips of bacon for both Miss Dezie and Miss Nezie.” Lionel smiled and went back to finishing the cooking. After Maddi finished eating, she went and called their driver for their ride to school.
Maddi and her group went to biology class, Winnie and her group walked to history class, while Dezie went with her boyfriend to physics class, and Nezie walked with her friends to art class.
After class was finished everybody was heading to lunch when they saw yellow police tape blocking the doorway. “What the hell happened?” Maddi asked when they saw the police and ambulance men walking around. Mrs. Ellie appeared out of her office crying. Dezie studied her carefully and yelled out loud, “She isn’t really crying! Those are the same fake waterworks Winnie use when she doesn’t want to get in trouble!” Winnie, Maddi, and Nezie hid their faces with their hair and whispered to one another, “Slowly head back to your lockers and pack ALL of your books; obviously we are suspended for busting her fake a**.” Winnie giggled and pulled Dezie to her locker. Everyone began laughing when Maddi, Nezie, Winnie, and Dezie slowly walked back to their lockers. Mrs. Ellie looked up at the police officer she came out of her office with. He sighed and said, “Mrs. Ellie, I think we need to have a lil talk downtown.” He then escorted her to his car and they drove off. The assistant principal then made an announcement on the PA system. “Dear Students, this is a very tragic time, so it’s required that all students go home. We are very sorry for this inconvenience.” All the students laughed when she said she was sorry for the inconvenience. Maddi was listening to her MP3 player when she accidently bumped into someone. She took out her headphones and apologized, “Uh oh! I’m so sorry!” she helped him up and noticed who she accidently knocked down.He then got up and dusted off his jacket. “No problem, its Maddi isn’t it?” Seth asked her. She then said, “Y-yea, from biology class. Anyways I’m sorry I ran into you though, I was just waiting for my sisters.” He smiled and replied, “Nah, its cool. But I really got to go.” And when he said that his girlfriend Amber walked out of the building. “Hi Seth.” She said and kissed him. Seth looked like he was annoyed by her a lil. Maddi felt the anger inside of her rising, and at that moment Winnie pulled her away from the couple. Maddi walked with Winnie and took deep refreshing breaths. “Thanks Winnie, I swear I was about to kick her a**.” Maddi said after 15 minutes of walking. Winnie just giggled and said, “Oh hey, it looks like it’s gonna rain, we best hurry home.”
After they made it home their mother almost scared the life out of them. “Um, what is it mom? Is it because we made it home late?” Winnie asked ready to bring out the fake tears and apologies. “No, it was Sarah on the phone; she called and said they found out that Mrs. Ellie, your principal committed the murder at the school.” She replied with a hint of fright. “Wait! What?!?!? There was a murder?!?!?” Marcus asked sliding down the staircase railing. “Yea, during lunch there were yellow police lines and everything.” Dezie replied walking out of the kitchen. Nezie walked in the front door soaked in rain water. “You guys are just so ******** heartless! You can’t wait just 5 minutes for me?!?” Nezie screamed then stormed up the steps. “Was Becka hurt? God I swear if you guys don’t know I’m killing you all in your sleep.” Marcus said panicked as hell. “Dude, you don’t even know Becka all that well. You don’t even know her last name.” Winnie said laughing. Marcus just glared at her and walked back up the stairs.
Maddi was in the kitchen while Lionel was preparing dinner. “Ohhhh, what’s for dinner Lionel? It smells great.” Winnie said walking into the kitchen. “We are having lobster tonight. Lobster Thermidor for dinner tonight Ms. Winnie.” Lionel said gleaming with pride. Maddi giggled and helped with his stance. “Girls, go wash up for dinner please!” Their mother yelled from the Dining room. Maddi went upstairs and got ready for the shower when the phone rang. She answered her phone and slowly started to panic.
“Hi Maddi, you already know who I am. You wouldn’t forget a person like me. It’s impossible.” The caller said. Maddi was scared, so she just whispered when she spoke, “Who are you? And how do you know my name?” “Oh, don’t play dumb with me. But since I’m in the killing kinda mood, meet me tonight. You, Winnie, and Dezie, 10:00 pm Lincoln Park. See you there.” He then hung up and Maddi picked up her cell phone to see what time it was. It was already 8:00! “s**t, s**t, and s**t!” she muttered under her breath.
She quickly put on her clothes and grabbed Dezie and Winnie and ran out the door with no questions asked. Finally while Maddi was driving, Dezie asked her, “Um yea…where the ******** are we going?!?” Maddi slowed to stop at a red light and turned to look at Winnie. “What time is it Winnie?” She hardly whispered when she spoke. Winnie was in the back of the Rover putting her pants on and when she finished she climbed to the back seat. “Um should I have brought my scythe?” Winnie asked. Dezie giggled, “If you mean that scythe you had for Halloween, I don’t think it would help us in whatever Maddi is freaking out about.” Winnie looked at Maddi really worried. “I’m not going to ask again, what damn time is it?!?” Maddi asked getting really ticked off. Dezie looked at her cell phone, “Its 9:30Pm. Why do you ask?” Dez replied getting really nervous. “Dammit! We have to get to Lincoln Park. How far is it from here? And why is this red light 15 damn minutes long?!?” Maddi asked really pissed off. Then she noticed she wasn’t scared anymore, mostly just pissed off and confused about whom that caller was and how he knew her name.
