Roulette of Redemption –By Corey Watson I sit at this table with a gun in my hand We are all at the point where no man dares to stand The chrome finish of my .45 gleams in the light I grin and crack a smile in the time of my delight “Today we will be judgment day for the wicked one” “Neither God nor Satan has power over this gun” “Are we demons or angels, that’s for fate to decide” “For the crimes we have committed, shall we suffer as our victims died?” I say these words strongly as I slide a single bullet into the gun I place the gun down, nobody dares to run I spin the gun around, who will be first? Ah, it points to the man who had blood thirst “Before you pull the trigger you have one last chance to apologize for the crimes you have done” I say with a smile “because you never know if for you it’s the end of the fun” The man in his mid forty’s laughs and says he has nothing to regret He pulled the trigger and dropped as he lost life’s bet The gun is placed on the table again Now only 4, who will win? The gun spins around and around until it stops It points to a man who killed a total of 8 cops “It’s your turn cop killer, have anything to say?” “I regret not adding more to that slay” With his words he pulled the trigger and to the ground he now lays For death is the fine that he no longer need not to pay 3 still remain, as the gun quickly turns The gun now stops on the guy with the burns “Anything you have to say my kind sir?” “Nothing that has not been spoken for her” With the pull of the trigger he falls to the ground The sound of the gun was the only sound I and she are the only ones who remain One look into her eyes you can see her pain The gun slowly turns and stops at a blink She put it to her head; her tear was the final link “Madame has you anything left to say?” “I’d like to ask for forgiveness for something I did the wrong way” “I never meant to kill her; I tried to avoid a car” “But she was there; I noticed when I was too far” She pulled the trigger, but there was only a click She tried again but the hammer clicked as it flicked I smiled as I took the gun from her hand I motioned her to get up and stand “You’re probably wondering why the game has now ended” “Why 2 bodies are standing when one should have landed” “These scumbags had killed people I loved, and never once did they regret” “For that they have lost the life’s number one bet” “The gun you held was only full of blanks” “The gun I held could shoot through planks” The woman was shocked then she spoke “If we all hurt you then why haven’t I croaked?” I smiled and laughed then looked into her eyes “I gave everyone a chance to say something before there good bye” “You’re the only one who apologized for what you did” “You showed me your actions are not like a kids” “To stand and say I’m sorry, it takes a real heart to do it” “To act tough will give you only bullshit” “For this I let you live, a new life begins” “For I am no longer the monument for your sins” We walked away as I put the guns away Together we walked into the light of a new day
