She was supposedly one of the more attractive gods. One whose role was the protection of nature. though. When the grand prophet Tiresius gazed upon her as she bathed, she blinded him. However, she gave him the ability to see the future, when she forgave him. Unfotunately for Alyss, that wasn't the only gift she would bestow. Before the Mortals decided they didn't need the greek deities, she left a scroll in her temple. She hoped that it would aid a mortal in their time of need. It is this very scroll, that the old Cambodian man was teasing Alyss with. Telling him tales of those who had read the scroll. Of course he could never capture the magic of the real stories. They were far too strange to be believed, even by the crazy old man.
