Bleh. XP
Yesh, I promised you that I'd update during Christmas vacation. I didn't. Too much action. sweatdrop
Christmas Eve was church...Christmas Day was opening presents with family, and having a nummy-yummy meal at Grandma's whee ...then I had lots of hours to work at my job after the holiday, and after New Year's, hours got cut back...January 8th...oh, yeah, let me tell you about that.
See, the night of January 8th was really special for my family. My uncle was officially sworn in as chief of our town's fire department! biggrin I got to go to the dinner and see the whole thing, plus we had some excellent food to eat. There were lots of people to talk to as well. The chief's guests (his family and some close friends) took up three tables near the stage where the head table was located; I got to sit at one that was positioned almost right up against the stage, and it was so cool to have such a great view of everything up there. 4laugh Speeches, presentations, the swearing in of officers, good food, and...oh, yeah! After the main dinner, there was an after-party get-together at the firehouse. That night was a proud moment for my uncle and all his relatives who were there.
I luff my uncle. heart
Back to school now. I've got Thursdays and Fridays without any classes this semester, which is cool because I've never had this before. I luff it. Until next time, byes!

Christmas vacation
I finished up my fall semester on Friday, the 17th. I was so happy that it was over, but I'm too scared to see my grades. I don't think I failed anything, but scared all the same. sweatdrop
Saturday night, the 18th, was our town fire department's annual Santa Ride. Lots of lights and sounds all over town. I happened to watch from the corner across the street as they went out, and it was funny (and kinda cool) to see a line of engines--from the ladder truck to the truck ambulance--stopped right in front of my house. I saw them again as they went down the street near my house, then they turned up the next one parallel to mine and went around onto the street right by the corner of my block. ^^
Sunday was rather uneventful: just church, lunch at Grandma's house, and work that evening. Last night was choir practice for Christmas Eve, so much fun. blaugh That's a wrap of what's happened so far. I'll post more during the break. Merry Christmas! heart
