Well, it's my first entry in this new Gaia journal.
How the hell did I get here anyway? Oh yeah, my younger sister wanted me to use this site, said it was fun. I guess that it is, though the ignorance of the people on Extended Discussion gets a little annoying at times.
New in the World: Tookie Williams is about to be put to death. Only in America can a useless member of society be made useful...only to be put to death. Our system encourages vengeance and retribution, not restitution and rehabilitation. Tookie earned his life sentence with the peace he created. Why now should his life be taken for his actions after he has repaid his debt? I'm not saying that he should be set free- no sane person would ask for that. But for the sake of humanity- let the man live a life sentence.
