Grabbing my hand he pulls me into the light. Tugging on my arm like a child who just saw the ice cream truck roll by and is begging for a taste, pulling on their parents sleeve. The eagerness, the impatience. The pillows on the bed drenched from my last. Turning around he takes my breath away. A beautiful disaster. He pulls me towards the light. I don't want to go towards that light. I turn back knowing the pain that always comes with falling. Falling hard and fast with him. Too fast and too hard. The light pulls you in and pushes you together. So we fall deep into the light. Falling deeper into each other but before we land his hand slips. Out of my grasp I reach out, but he's already gone. falling alone...again. The light turns dark around me. I see him at the top with her and they take the plunge. But, I am to keep falling alone in the dark, watching him with her.
