Chapter 2
She woke up strapped to a bed with bright white lights in her face, she coming out of the chemical induced slumber, her vision blurry and all the talking just muffled mumbles all around her before a man dressed like a doctor, she passed back out as her put an IV in her arm, her body going numb, the liquid a sort of neon green.
Skip ahead some odd years, Luna is now 18, the only way she knew was a nurse would bring her a little cake every year to celebrate, she enjoyed it but she was always wondering what happened, Where was she and why? She woke up one day to the usual buzz of her door opening, groaning softly and shielding her eyes from the bright light coming from the hall into her dimly lit room as a nurse came in, handing her the usual little green pill accompanied by a small glass of water. She had learned log ago to take it because if she refused it would be forced down her throat. So she took it and just relax, the nurse looked at her and said, "Today we will be doing something different from the usual, get ready." She simply nodded to the nurse, she never spoke for many reasons, mainly being because she wouldn't want to be punished if she said anything wrong. Some time passes and the buzz of her door annoyed her ears once again as she stood up and sighed, walking toward the door and much to her surprise the Doctor stood there with a sickening smile and clipboard in hand, his voice was like steel wool on a chalk board, "Good afternoon, Luna, Are you ready? Today we test you skills." She looked down, nodding slightly in response, all the years of ******** up testing her put her threw...All the weird medicines, liquids and things had somehow given her powers, most of the time she had medicine to suppress them but this time she was given an enhancer and she would be tested in a controlled environment. It would take a little while for the enhancer to kick in so in the mean time they took her to a pretty well lit room and locked her in, the room was fortifier to with stand anything the patients could throw at it, most patients didn't live through all the experiments but she was one of the lucky ones..if you consider being a mutated freak lucky. As hiss echoed then a click and the intercom echoed the Doctor's voice around the room, "Alright Luna, I want you to relax and release, start with your fingertips then move to your hands and forearms, then we will try full body, alright? Alright." She sighed softly, looking down, she didn't know how to do that..he had only let her do it once or twice but as the medicine kicked in her body tingled and got extremely hot, she wiggled the tips of her fingers and focused, her finger tips igniting is a soft flame that quickly spread to her hand, the flame turning blue now. She didn't feel the flames, just a warm sensation as she stared, the enhancer taking over as her body trembled slightly, the intercom echoed again, "You are doing good but take it slow, don't over do yourself" the Doctor said. She took a deep breath and began to focus again, the light blue flames slowly creeping up her arms then flaring up, consuming her body as she screamed out, the enhancer taking full effect and she losing control of her power, her eyes turning the same blue as the now bright blue flames around her. She shook wildly as she turned to this window, seeing the Doctor, she was consumed in rage as she walked to the window and growled lowly, pressing her hand to the window as it began to slowly crack and melt, the heat of the flame around her had to be at least four thousand degrees. She then pulled back her other hand and punched threw the glass, it shattering all around as she jumped threw the window, watching the nurses and Doctor scramble out and away. She walked over the table, it melting under her feet as she jumped down to the ground, manipulating the flames so they wouldn't melt the ground below her as nurses and guard charged her she simply raised her hand and basically incinerated them forcing the flames from her hand to where they wrapped around her assailants like a Boa around it's prey, melting and burning their flesh, killing them almost instantly, the flame seeming to swirl around her body, consuming everything around her. People, patients, furniture, plants, everything. In her rage she had no control, she searched and searched, her main goal to kill the man that had put her in this ******** hell, she went straight to his office, finding him cowering in a corner as she grinned and all the medical record on his desk began to char. She walked toward the Doctor with a menacing grin and spoke for the first time in so many years, "It's a shame that I get to speak with you only to kill you...but a privilege that I know this will be your demise and i'll be the last thing you see and hear.." Her voice was low and gently, like that of a little girl, yet, it was mature as well. By the time she had finished speaking the whole building was engulfed in flames aside from the office, she kept the flames at bay as she leaned down and smiled in the Doctors face, speaking in the same soft, gently tone, "Burn in hell you sick b*****d..." She wrapped her hand around his throat as he grabbed her arm with great force, but by the time he did that, he was screaming in pain as he burned alive in her grip, watching his eye bulge and his flesh burn made her twitch in a some what state of ecstasy. As his screamed died she release him, turning away and forcing the flames to flow around her as she walked from the office, dodging falling debris and shoving the front doors to the Asylum over, walking out into the sun light. Now mind you the Asylum was pretty much in the middle of nowhere, there way nothing close for many, many miles, she walked down the path, the place was surrounded by prison like fences with barbed wire at the top. She paid no mind as she walked right through, the metal melting like butter to a hot knife. After a while the medicine subsided, she had been walking down a some road for a very long time, she hadn't seen one car or person, not even a mouse, after about twenty minutes of walking all the flames died down and her eyes slowly returned to normal. She attempted to keep walking but felt her feet getting heavy as exhaustion over took her body and she collapsed on the side of the road.
