Home for the holidays and all that jolly stuff... |

Well, its that time of year again folks... the time when I hustle, bustle and nearly break my a** all to spread a wee bit of holiday cheer among the friends, family, and munchkins... after all you must realize by now that I am the Good Witch (lol, j/k). Anyway, now that all my Christmas shopping is done and Thanksgiving is over I have only my studies, wrapping presents, Christmas caroling, and any little thing that goes wrong to worry about. Maybe if I'm lucky it will snow soon and I will have nothing to worry about except getting the house cleaned up and the safety of my relatives and friends. Honestly the Christmas Holiday is one of my favorites... only rivaled by my birthday and Halloween (I don't get to trick or treat anymore... I only dress up). I mean who could hate Christmas with its eggnog, holiday cheer, t.v. specials we've seen way too many times, and drunks attempting to sing Christmas Carols... it just about has to be the greatest holiday ever. On top of getting great food, everyone usually gets great gifts and lots of family love.... add in the cheerful music and the nice fire in your fireplace and it makes for one awesome holiday. Even if you're a single teenager without a person to cuddle with. Though having a cuddle buddy makes everything so much better.

Politics... we all get cancelled out in the end |

For my first real post I have decided to address an issue that is very much in the forefront of everyone's mind... politics and the upcoming election. Normally I would not really care about such things but this is my first year voting so now I am forced into caring. You are right when you say that if I don't really care so much why should I even vote at all... but the thing is I don't like Bush and I think that he is an idiot so I will vote to keep him out of office. In his opinion our president has done a good job leading our country and has put forth his personal best, but I'm sorry to say Mr. President sir that unfortunately in my opinion your personal best is lacking. I wish we hadn't gone to Iraq, especially when it was said that Saddam was no threat in the beginning of the President's term and it was acknowledged that we had all of his country blocked off except for the center. I think we should have stayed in Afghanistan and made sure we disposed of the real threat that was Osama bin Laden. I'm sorry if my opinion offends some people, but you are free to pm me and debate over this issue if you would like. Okay, now that I have gotten out into the open my opinion on Bush I shall move on to Kerry. I don't like Kerry very much either, especially since the guy can never seem to make up his mind on anything. I have seen the debates and I have watched Kerry's speeches and frankly, I am now extremely confused. Is Kerry really for or against abortion... is he pro-choice or pro-life. Does he really plan on bringing more jobs to America and if so what will he do about his wife's company(The Heinz Coorperation? The place that makes Heinz ketchup), which outsources jobs to Canada and Mexico as well as leases factories in quite a few other countries. Will he stop her too... will this apply to all businesses or only the businesses that he's not making a real profit on? I'm quite curious to know where he actually stands on every issue... I'd love to get into his head and find out how reassures himself that it is okay to make so many promises which he cannot keep. Does he tell himself that since he isn't really sure its okay to give to seperate and opposing opinions... I may think that Bush is only smart for Bush... but at least I know where we'll be going with Bush... the same place we've been heading for a long time. Perhaps it is time for a change... but neither of the lesser of two evils will make the correct changes. Personally if they got more votes and if the guy who was running for President didn't believe we could be out of there in 90 days, which would so not be possible without a serious loss of face and some really big problems, I would vote Libertarian... I love the libertarians... they say they aren't politicians... no one has ever really tried to say that before... its almost funny. I wonder if they would keep that stance for long if elected in... I don't really think they would though... once you get into politics and run for office you are a politician... now whether or not you are a good politician and a well-loved one(not the Clinton style of well loved...ick) is up to you.

Starting a journal... is it just me or is this not normal... |

Hello there... or not, I guess it depends on whether anyone shows up here or not. Anyway, I think it is strange to start a journal... but this is my second one... most of my friends think that they're a great idea... unfortunately I'm not so sure myself... I rarely have much of interest going on in my life so I figured that if I put my thoughts down instead this wouldn't be quite as boring to anyone who finds it... but I'll shut up now.
