Does anyone know what the difference between an obsession and an addiction is? According to helpful Mr. Webster, an obsession is: the state of being preoccupied to an unreasonable degree with an idea, desire, etc. An addiction, on the other hand is: the state of being devoted or given up to a habit. Oh, okay.
My Addictions (different than obsessions): -Chai tea (even the decaf sort) -Gum (the kind you chew, I mean) -Fanfiction (sad but true) -Black bean and brown rice garlic and onion chips (it sounds strange, but they're really good, I swear) -Jalepeno Cheezits (who doesn't love breathing flames?)
There should be more, but I'm too tired right now to think of any more. I'm sure they'll come to mind eventually.

Lurving the fanficcy-nesses |

I should warn you all, I am addicted to fanfiction. I am also becoming somewhat of a fanfiction elitist, which coincides nicely with my suddenly developed (Okay, so it happened quite a while ago) RP elite-ism. Meaning I am no longer quite the n00b I used to be, and have sudden taken an almost violent dislike to bad RPs and fanfics.
But I won't make a list for you of the worst fanfics I've ever read, as I don't actually read anything that doesn't look like it's worth anything. So here's the very best of HP fandom (but you can probably expect it to change at some time, especially if people happened to PM me with links to even better fics). You may notice that it seems a bit prejudiced against certain sections of fandom. As I have said, I'm an elitist, and don't generally read things outside of certain restrictions. What these are, I won't tell you. Figure them out for yourself.
The Ten Best HP Fanfictions Ever (Or at least the best I've read so far) (And you should read some of them, if HP fanfiction is your thing)(And the lists are never in order) -December 21, 1997, by AnotherDreamer (Angst-y Andromeda) -The Shoebox Project, by Ladyjaida and dorkofic (Every HP fan should read this.) -A Loss of Authority, by Yilantri and Moo (Hilarious. For all those mourning fans) -Red Stilettos, by Abigail-Nicole (Because there's more to Narcissa than meets the eye) -Nothing in Return, by Cannonball (The best OC you will ever meet) -The Unresponsive Diary of Ginny Weasley, by TheImaginator (The girl's a genius. And far too sarcastic) -You Used To Be Crazy Like That, by Beatrix Bloxam (There is such a thing as changing too much) -Falling, by Saiph (Cute conversation) -Chance, by Duva (Everyone deserves a chance. Especially James.) -Through His Mother's Eyes, by bistyboo1974 (Because we all need an almost happily-ever-after)

Shouldn't you be blinded by my brilliance? |

Yes, I know. I'm not brilliant, I'm stupid and annoying and yada, but hey, we've all gotta have our little lies. And, as I just realized, I can't spell 'brilliant.' No, don't look, I fixed it.
I suppose ranting isn't the best way to start out a journal, but really, I wasn't! And I wasn't going to! Really! (And really, the sarcasm is something you will get used to over time.)
So, to begin with, how about a list. (You will also get used to the lists. Lists are one of my obsessions. There are many obsessions, and you will get used to them too.)
Oh, but I already said that, didn't I? About the obsessions, I mean. Up at the top, isn't it? Or is it not? I don't know. It was- or is - so you will just have to live with it.
*coughs* Well, ah, how about that list, hmm? Fine, here it is.
Things I'm very, very, very fond of (Alright, my obsessions) (And in no particular order): -Soccer (I don't play anymore, but...) -Running (Yes, I realize I'm crazy) -Swimming (See above caption) -Harry Potter (My guilty pleasure) -Writing (Though I should do it more often) -Fantasy novels (Another slightly guilty pleasure) -Making collages (See my wall for explanation. It's covered) -Wolves/Dogs/Large cats/Many other predators (Just too cool) -Mythology (Just as cool as woves. And with more magic. Most of the time.) -Lists (Of course. Lol)
