Man, today in school was the craziest day. First there was the usual boring French class and then on to art. But in the middle of it, it was interrupted w/ an announcement from the principal telling us to all go into the gym and everything. At my school, it's easier to just go outside cut across the yard and then into the gym doors so that's what I started to do but then the teachers went bonkers screaming, "GET INSIDE, GET BACK INSIDE NOW!!!"
Heh heh, being me, I kinda just stood there and went, "huh?!" until I finally got it and stepped inside. Once I reach the end of the hallway and I have to turn, I see these SWAT GUYS with these humungous guns going, "hurry, get to the gym!" It was so hectic, nobody knew what was going on, but you could tell it was something big because of the SWAT guys and cops everywhere. Man, it was the first time in my life I actually saw a gun that big.
Everyone was so tense and giddy; you could feel the uneasiness in the atmosphere. When we get to the gym, it's jammed packed and we had to sit on the floor and wait for like 4 hours. Nobody was allowed to leave the gym at all. If they really had to go to the washroom, they were accommodated. I dunno if it was by the SWAT guys or the teachers. The officers were searching the whole school for something. The teachers didn't tell us much to go with. Lotsa suspense I tell you.
Luckily, they allowed us to go to the cafeteria for food later, but they had to search the perimeters first and COVER THE ALL THE WINDOWS? Everybody missed lunch but the only thing we got to eat was a cookie and a juice box. We only had 10 mins to do so before we were to head back to the gym.
It was one of the longest most boring times ever. At first it was pretty exciting, but then everybody got restless from sitting the whole time. There wasn't much to do either cuz Ms Stokes didn't want us to bring our backpacks with us to the gym for the fear that we would leave the school. Well, now we have something pretty out of it to remember the last year of highschool by.
After that 4 hours, the police declared the school safe and we got to leave school early, which was awesome. But the front of the school was swarmed with worried parents and news reporters. From what we heard while we were at school, a student was outside in the parkinglot with a gun wanting to shoot everybody or something. From others, they said a student planted a bomb?
When we got home though, on the news, it said something about a student threatening a teacher? But they didn't really release much information and it seemed so secretive so I think there's something more to it. Anyways, that's all to my excitingly intimidating day!
