Maybe its just me. Maybe its just me being the cynical creature that I am but, some kids are totally daft these days. Now before I hear from some polite, well mannered and level headed 14 year old, im not generalising, not at all. Im certainly not trying to say everyone younger than me is a bad human, for there are plenty of decent, up-standing members of the community out there and I know I should be at least 30 before making this observation. But there sure seems to be a lot more daft kids around today than there were 10 or so years ago. I know. It makes me sound terribly hopeless and old. Its something my parents would probably, sorry, HAVE said in the past. I mean, im not trying to say I grew up in some perfect world where children walked old ladies across the road, handed out chocolate to homeless people and built houses for kids in africa out of of recycled lego, there were some bad kids who did some pretty bad stuff, and im not saying im a perfect human being who hasnt done a single thing wrong but, you know, we were cheeky, kids swearing at people all over the place, drinking out on the streets, vandalising, smoking when theyre about two days old, hanging out in crowds at the age of 7? ********, I wasnt even allowed out on my own until I was about 9 and even then my mum would go daft if I was 10 minutes late. Dont get me wrong, theres nothing like a bit of fun but ******** me these kids are daft. Seriously, take a walk down the town, read any newspaper or watch any show with the word "crime" in it and you'll just be bloody depressed. Half the time when I watch these shows im shouting at the cops on tv, telling them to just whack the kid over the head with their foot. Its just daft. These kids know theres nothing anyone can do to stop them. Christ, I still feel bad if I dont say "thank you" at the end of every sentence. And then you see some kids on here posting threads like "ARE KNIVES COOL", "I JUST HAD SEX AND IM 12" and "GAYS/BLACKS/MUSLIMS SHOULD DIE", what the hell, at that age I was worried about what power ranger id get for christmas. ********, who am I kidding, I wouldnt even know how to post at that age anyway. haha I guess im just feeling a tad self righteous today. Again im not generalising or thinking "I know better because im 19!!!!" I realise thats still pretty young anyway, but honestly I never really saw/read/heard about these things 10 years ago.
And now im away to sign myself into an old folks home.
