I am your friend acting like I’m fine. I am a dreamer wishing this life weren’t mine. I am a girl who thinks of suicide. I am a teenager pushing her tears aside. I am a student who doesn’t have a clue. I am the girl sitting next to you. I am the one asking you to care. I am your best friend hoping you’ll be there.

	Poem #1 - This Thing Called Life You took my body Tore it in half I lost my hopes My dreams and my laughs You crushed my heart Burned my soul But now it’s time For me to let go I trusted you Opened my heart You ripped it out Tore it apart You took my innocence And threw it away Like a piece of trash Left to decay I felt so numb So hollow inside All I could do Was run and hide But now I am strong Ready to fight I’m taking back This thing called life
