I was browsing YouTube, showing a friend of mine Nightwish songs. smile She was interested, and to be fair, I decided to show her Tarja Turunen as well. Sadly, I only had "I Walk Alone" to work with ... so she had to deal with the stuck up, conceited, absolute ***** Tarja and not the AWESOME Tarja (Angels Fall First - Century Child. After Once, she changed. She seriously, seriously changed) that I like.

Well, I was looking through comments.
Keep in mind that Tuomas Holopainen is my idol in life, and I would give everything to have his genius--heck, I'd give everything to have a twenty minute chat with him. Anything.
I see this:

"The letter of Tuomas its not the bible.
Its only 50% of the truth. Or better a subjective opinion of manic-depressive man. Tuomas is not Jesus of the music or something like that.
Now Nightwish touring like apes through USA.
Lets better talk about the stupid decision of the band to take Anette. I wondering how many pills Tuomas swallowing."

Now, her first two sentences are quite true.
The rest just made my blood boil, and my face grow red. How dare they?!

Now, for those NOT in the know, the 'letter' they refer to is the letter that kicked Tarja Turunen out of the band.

Here, Tuomas states exactly WHAT bothered him and WHY. He said it directly.
Notice that Jukka, Emppu, and Marco signed as well. That means that they were in on it.

I have read this time and time and time again. I see nothing from her end that defends her. She relies on pity and sympathy, never saying exactly WHY she feels the way she does. :/ She dodges all of the accusations. She never responds to them. Ever.

Here is why I am angry:
They clearly insult Tuomas, never mentioning the other three members of the band ... and they participated in the huge move. They were never mentioned, and Tuomas Holopainen took ALL of the heat and the fire.
I remember reading an interview with him ... let me say this: Tuomas was NOT proud of kicking Tarja out. Never. Ever. Ever. He went through his own personal hell--add the flames and hate, and you have a depressed man. The so-called "fans" of Nightwish (Actually Tarja fans) were insulting him to time's end ... while two years ago, they hailed him as a genius and a musician.

Now look at what he is reduced to.
"popping pills." I have met and talked to Tuomas, and he is an amazing man. He obviously does not pull a Dr. Gregory House. -_-

Now, about Miss Tarja ...
She has a cult, in my honest opinion, that she does not deserve. She puts money into the music, not soul. That is what matters the most. yes. She needs business to make this a living.
But the concept of greed--Marcelo only aided this--took over her music, and she now does it for the money ... instead of the love for music. This is clue number one that she will eventually fall. She cannot hold up her own forever.

Tarja has only sold Gold.
Nightwish has sold 4X Platinum.
(Now tell me that Nightwish won't survive without her.)

Anette Olzen is a lovely, lovely lady that obviously loves what she is doing now. She is down-to-earth, and yet so high in the clouds when it comes to her music. She's friendly, funny, and appreciates every single fan. She does not HATE anyone--and she refused to take other judgments on the men in Nightwish from a book.
And she--Anette, the new lead singer--is receiving DEATH THREATS.
DEATH. THREATS.

Explain this; stupid, isn't it?

I have finally cracked.
I can't handle it anymore. I have formed an emotional attachment to this band, and I see them insulted and hated every day. I've defended them, even though I did not need to. I felt as if I owed something to them, for opening my eyes to real music.
Tell me I am not a fan of Nightwish.
Tell me I am not a fan of Tuomas.

Tell me I have not done my research; year-long fans have told me otherwise, saying that I knew far more about the band than they ever have.

I am a fan.
I am a true fan.
I am with Nightwish until their last breath. Even then, I will be with them, listening and appreciating their music.

Wow, this has gone on for far too long.
If you want to debate, feel free. Do take heed about insulting Tuomas, Anette, Jukka, Marco, and Emppu, however ...
I just might lash.
