(Hey, this journal is partially dedicated to Katamari_Fanatic!)
So, my aunt is visiting next week, which means that my cousins and her (reallyannoying) husband are visiting, too.
Miranda, one of her kids, is going to enter the fifth grade when school starts up again. I'm going to enter the eighth grade. That means that there's a three year age difference between us. This is less than the four year age difference between my brother and I, but I think that my brother and I are more alike than my cousin and I.
However, one of my friends, Katamari_Fantatic, just got out of fifth grade, and I was friends with her throughout her fifth grade year. Katamari_Fanatic is extremely mature. Seriously, I think someone could easily mistake her for a high schooler (even if you took away her prolly-going-to-be-as-tall-as-me height). She types like you should, can discuss topics of interest, and is absolutely hilarious.
My cousin doesn't even know how to type, can't discuss topics of interest, and her idea of hilarious is the song "Candy Girl" by SMILE.DK.
Actually, I think that song is hilarious, too, but for completely different reasons than my cousin.
Still, my idea of fifth graders are smart, ALPs level fifth graders, like Katamari_Fanatic or how me and Claire were in fifth grade. I think that the fifth graders I knew are completely different than my nose-picking, fat enough that when we teeter-totter she goes down, still is like a first grader to me almost fifth grade cousin. I've been wondering whether more fifth graders are like her, or the fifth graders I've been spoiled to know.
