The girl slowly lifted herself from her back and looked at the ground seeing nothing. Her head was pounding from the fall and she couldn't hear if it was still raining, but she could tell it was dark.
"Hey.."
She jerked looking in every direction for the source of the voice but only seeing the dim lights glowing from the stain glass windows. Was there someone there? Or was it her imagination. "....Can't you hear me?" The voice called out again.
The she felt a hand on her shoulder. She let out a powerful yell and jerked free trying to scramble away. "Hey! No wait!" The voice called out grabbing her other arm. She yelled and swung her leg in the direction of the person holding her arm.
"Ahh!" Was the noise heard before the mystery person stumbled falling on her.
"Great.." She muttered then paused feeling a bare chest against her. Is this a guy?
She was too busy trying to get away to pay attention to what the voice sounded like..
"Sorry..." Grumbled the guy rolling onto the floor not far. "I just wanted to tell you that you should be careful the stuff in here is old and it's easy to trip." The voice stated softly.
"Did you have to grab me like that?" She asked rubbing her shoulder.
"Your running scared me...if you fell...more salt water would come from your eyes." He said almost if he was afraid to talk about it.
Hearing this she stopped and turned towards where the voice was coming from.
"You mean tears? I cried?" She asked.
"Your eyes spilled out with salty liquid.."
"How do you know it's salty?"
"I tasted it.."
"Wha?" She choked feeling her face turn red.
"Are you sick?" The guy asked and she felt a hand on her face.
Blinking she smacked it away yelling. "ARE YOU CRAZY!!"
Now that her head wasn't hurting as bad she could hear the rain beating on the roof.
"Who are you?" She asked hearing herself only slightly for the thundering on the roof was becoming louder.
It was a few moments before his answer. ".. Adian..What is your name?" He asked. She could almost feel his curiosity. "....Anju.." She stated.
"Why are you here?"
"I was about to ask you Anju.." He replied then another flash of lightning lit up the room. Anju's eyes hurt as she tried to look and absorb the outline of Adian's body.
She looked around then yawned. "You didn't answer my question.."
"I live here...This is my home.." He said in a cool voice.
