Hm... yeah. This was a Mercenary group I made up about three years ago in my head that I considered doing a Gag comic for. Instead, I got caught up in a different comic project, so they got left out. Still, I think these three have major potential for RPG and video game spoofing, so I'll keep them in mind in case I ever want to use them. I think they'd fit just fine in my Prophet Destiny Universe, and it would be great to think of how they'd react with my other established characters. Most likely, due to their ineptitude, they'd have their asses handed to them easily by the other heroes. Anyway, here you go:
~b*****d Swords~
Leafe- Elven Ranger
The designated “Emo” prettyboy of the bunch. He’s pretty much the team leader and schemer, but he can be on the lazy and blames the shortcomings of his team on others. He thinks his own apathy and ill contempt is actually cool while he looks down on others that do not match up to his “standards”.
Leo- Warrior
The designated “Reckless” one of the bunch. He’s the muscle of the group, and all he knows is eating, sleeping, fighting, shooting his mouth off, and “showing off” for the ladies. If hard work will gain him nothing “worth his time”, he’s otherwise lazy and indolent. Despite being labled the “brainless oaf” type, he’s actually smarter than the average fighter, but he just gets too carried away easily in battle. His Dad is a blacksmith, and his Mother is a weapons merchant.
Skip- Berserker
The unofficial “Eager” one and semi-liability of the group. Skip is Leo’s little brother, and he occasionally tags along while sporting a tunic fashioned from a bear rug from home, along with a spiked club from the store. In battle, he may prove useful and use his unexpected might to lay waste to many foes. Unfortunately, there are also times where he does very useless and random actions. Some involve inexplicably consuming every potion in the party’s inventory even when he isn’t thirsty or hurting, charging in the opposite direction of the enemy, and throwing away potentially useful items. Both real members see him as a pain.
Others
The Three Merchanteers: Mage Knights Perry, Frick, & Gates
A trio of three seedy, aristocratic merchants who seek to sell their wares and rip off people around the world. They are also among the most persistent of merchants, and unless they are severly outdone in battle prowess, are extremly hard to shake off. They prefer going by their last names for business purposes. All three were graduates of the esteemed Thalariss Academy, noted for their cultivation of taleneted "Mage Knights". In this case, the trio are fairly competent in weaponry and magics.
The loud, yet bumbling Perry is a swordsman who specializes in wind magic. The arrogant, austere Frick enjoys smacking around with his cane and specializes in ice magic. The harsh, cynical Gates wields a hammer and specializes in fire magic.
Despite their persistence, the Merchanteers rarely, if at all, succeed in making a major profit.
The Merchanteers occasionally act as rivals to the b*****d Swords, though will usually try to pawn off their wares to the group.
Count Freud Phatte Albert- Knight
One of the Counts of the Militaristic "League of Trivesta", Count Albert (pronounced with a silent "t" wink is an adamant warrior who holds strict law over his realm. He's prone to running anyone out of his land for the most frivolous of rules. To even skilled fighters, he is not easy to beat. One of his most distinguished abilities is his intimidating "evil eye". Those whom he looks at without noticing him will often feel as if they're being stalked, even if they aren't the target if his anger. When he isn't in his home and spots one of the numerous outcasts he banished, he is prone to beating them into submission upon sight out of spite.
*He serves as one of the main adversaries for the b*****d Swords. Oddly enough, he will have a more serious, although very minor role in "Prophet Destiny".
Sherly Sue- Damsel in Distress
The beautiful, optimistic daughter of a baker, and not much else. For some reason, she is prone to repeated kidnappings, even to the point of being kidnapped while she was already kidnapped. Nobody understands this peculiar phenomenon, but it happens... even when she is very well-protected. It's also unknown how or why the b*****d Swords are her frequent saviors, but it is safe to assume it is for superficial reasons. Although Leafe starts to tire of this part of his usual routine...
Barret Geitz- Swordsman A braggart Monster hunter.
Lady Fianna Insufferably snobby and haughty noble and self-proclaimed talented healer. An apparent acquaintance of "Prophet Destiny" protagonist, Gades Rubiss.
