Inot the Past Part 15
Walking along the road in the Futile Era is exciting, beautiful......and tiring. We only could have been walking for about an hour, and I was ready to pass out. Nobody seemed to notice that much, except for Shippo. He was riding on my shoulder, and when he saw me lagging behind, he asked what was up. I sighed. "I'm just kinda tired. I'm not used to walking this much at once." I told him. "Do you want to stop?" Shippo asked. I shook my head. "InuYasha would kill me." I told him. Shippo shook his head. "He's such a hot-head. If you're tired, we'll stop." he persisted. "No." I was NOT going to stop now. that would just show how weak I was. And I wanted to be strong. "I'll make you a deal Shippo," I began. "If I pass out, THEN we can stop. 'Kay?" I giggled a little. Shippo nodded, smiling a little. We walk a little farther, and see a forest up ahead. It was dark, and I could swear that I heard screaming comming from somewhere inside. But there was NO WAY I was chickening out now. Everyone would laugh at me. I took a deep breath and walked in. I wasn't the only one who was nervous. Kagome looked up and said, barely audiable "No light at all. Its like we're in a black hole." I snorted. She looked at me. "WHAT? its true." I nodded, and whispered. "I laughed because you and I were thinking the same thing." Kagome smiled. "Then why didn't you say anything?" she asked. I looked to InuYasha. "You'd think that I was a wimp." I muttered. "And I want to be brave." I never was the bravest person in the world. Actually, I was a big, nervous, wreck. "You sure don't seem like a coward."Sango commented. I looked over to her, suprised. I didn't know that she was listening. I was glad that Shippo was talking to Miroku. I liked how sometimes I could just talk to the girls. I looked at both of them and said "But I am. Especially at school. I've always been afraid by the kids older than me, even by one year. And there was this one guy in the grade above me..." my voice trailed off. Kagome and Sango looked at me. I felt my face getting hot. Whenever I thought of that kid, my face went red. Kagome and Sango noticed. They gave me knowing looks, and that intensifed my embarrassment. "And just who was this guy? Kagome asked. I sighed. "He was this kid in the grade above me that I liked for two years." Sango and Kagome make that squealing noise that only girls can make. I couldn't help but smile. "So what happened?" Kagome asked, eager for the story. "Well, for the first year, I was just freaked whenever I thought of or was near him. But we never even talked. At all. And Over the summer I decoded to forget about him. He oboviously didn't like me. I get to school.....and I liked him again. Only this time I was like a physco. Whenever our classes were in the same room, I panicked. Then at one dance I let this one girl in class to tell him that I liked him, and if he'd dance with me......he told her that he'd rather have his brains leak out than dance with me.(Kagome and Snago gasped. I nodded a little and went on.) It figured. Then at the last dance of the year, he danced with one girl the whole time. I could have killed him......but the point is that I'm the most scared person in the universe." I finished with I sigh. Kagome and Sango were looking at me sadly. "....Wow, I'm sorry, Bella." Sango said. Kagome nodded. "Yeah, that must really suck" she said. I nodded. "Yeah, but the good thing is that he's gone this year. When I go back, he won't be there. I hope that I NEVER see him again. 'Cause if I do, I KNOW that I'll just end up liking him again." Sango gave a sideways glance toward Miroku, and Kagome to InuYasha. I watched them stare. "But you guys are kinda screwed, aren't you?" I asked. Both of them snapped their eyes to me, and turned bright red. "W-what are you talking about?" Sango asked. " C'mon, Sango. You know what I'm talking about." I said, a smiling slowly, and looking towards Miroku. Kagome nodded a little at Sango, but protested "How am I involved in this?" I stared. "InuYasha." I said so quietly, I was worried that she wouldn't hear me. She was blushing so hard, I think that I could actually feel the heat comming off of her. She looked away. I was about to say something else, when we heard a low growl. I jumped. What in the world....I thought.
