Mirrors
I'm touching the cold, surface of the mirror.
I can see me, but I can't see me.
Yes, I can see my features. My black hair, my brown eyes, I know whats on my body.
But I can't see myself. I can't look inside to see myself. My true self.
I walk away, sighing. I picture whats inside.
And its beautiful. Its a sign of life. A mystical wonder.
: D I was inspired by a book I read at school. Its pretty plain. But I love writing short stories. Second story!~
Doppleganger (OMG IS THAT SPELLED RIGHT?! D: D: D: )
"Aren't you going to kill me?"
"Why should I? I've found my twin. I would love to spend time with you".
She has an evil look on her face. And I'm scared. But her voice sounds kind, but has a soft spot to it. I don't know if I should trust me evil self. She sounds kind. But aren't doppleganers evil?
I step back, being cautious. I'm a dark room, at least, I think I am. I'm not aware of my surroundings. She still has that evil look on her face. Shes moving closer. And closer.
Why am I being chased by my own self? "Please...stay away...I don't trust you..."
A smile.
Oops.
"Well aren't we a little paranoid today? C'mon! I'm your twin here, I'm you. You can trust yourself, can't you?"
Pft. Of course I can. But her, she...can't be me. But she has to, since she is the evil side of me. More footsteps coming closer. I'm being backed up toward a wall. I'm scared.
So I run.
She runs after me. I'm outside. And its morning. I want to hide. But of course, everyone finds you sometime. So I don't.
She finds me. Shes coming closer. And I'm dizzy, and I trip over a log.
I'm you...
You're me...
"YOU'RE NOT ME!" I scream at the top of my lungs. My eyes are closed.
I wake up. I'm sweaty. Its midnight. What a horrible dream. I turn on the light. I'm still scared.
I walk over to my mirror. I can see me. I'm startled at seeing myself. But I touch my face. I smile.
It was just a dream, of course.
But my evil twin still exists.
Somewhere.
